Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLTruly one of the most phenomenal rooms. The story flow is fabulous, and the built environment is mind-blowing. I urge you to do this room if you’re in the area. It’s totally worth a few hours away from your theme park vacation.
Society ZeroExtreme Escape - Stone OakEscape roomIRLThe puzzles in this escape room were some of the most frustrating I’ve ever done. For some puzzles, the codes to or instructions were just given to you on a sheet of paper with no thematic explanation. For others, the solution was arbitrary or clues were misleading. While the theming of the space was pretty well-done, it did not match the description online. The GM was kind to give us a little extra time, but we were pretty done with the room at that point.
AuroraLocktopia Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis is definitely my favorite room at Locktopia! It’s a pretty small space but they use it well, and it has a super fun finale. We did have to bypass 2 puzzles because they weren’t working correctly, and then another puzzle glitched during game play, which seems on par for Locktopia unfortunately. But if you’re an enthusiast in the area it’s definitely fun and worth your time.
The ObservatoriumRoyal Caribbean - Mariner of the Seas ShipEscape roomIRLEspecially for an escape room on a cruise ship, I thought it was really good! It’s a public room, but the puzzles are pretty non-linear, so you don’t have to work too closely with strangers if you don’t want to. The scenery was great and it had some novel puzzles. It wasn’t one of the best I’ve ever done or anything, but it was not one of the worst by a long shot! Very fun activity if you ever sail on the Mariner, worth the cost.
