Undercooked
Omescape - Sunnyvale
Escape room
IRL
Fun puzzle-grind room that is right up our alley—and the fact that it’s food themed is just icing on the cake (pun intended)! We previously did a version of this room in Anaheim that we loved, and while we still like that version slightly better, this one was great and filled with mostly new puzzles compared to that version. We had tons of fun as a group of 4, and we all appreciated being able to do puzzles solo and together and just have a great time. Definitely highly recommend this room!

This newer room is just as immersive & well-themed as their first, but since it has more puzzles, I’m giving it a ❤️. Still, since they charge more to complete the room as just a team of 2, we went as a group of 4 enthusiasts and got out in 41 mins, even with an extra bonus puzzle thrown in. Both of their rooms are well done & enjoyable and have very high production value. We really wish they had more puzzles and were more challenging so we didn’t finish so early!

Great room! We enjoyed the number and variety of puzzles, especially ones that involved dexterity and team work. There was one mechanic we hadn’t quite seen like this one before, so that’s always fun. The progression flowed well through multiple spaces. We were entertained for about 50 minutes as a group of 4 (2 enthusiasts and 2 smart recreational escape artists) who did not rush and tried to stick together so none of us missed any puzzles.

This is definitely a solid room with some fun puzzles and a couple of cool & unusual mechanisms we hadn’t experienced before. But in the end, I can only give it a 👍 and not a ❤️ because they required 4 people for this room, but only one puzzle really needed 4 people, and the rest was insufficient to keep all 4 of us enthusiasts busy and entertained for the full 60 minutes. We got out with 22 minutes to spare, which is not great bang for the buck. I also expected more given the super high rating this room has. We experienced two other rooms in the Twin Cities that were much more interesting/unique than this one, which is more “classic.” I’d still recommend it, but just don’t expect to get anywhere near 60 mins of entertainment if you are 4 enthusiasts.

Between 👍 and ❤️ but rounded up based on the strength & number of puzzles, overall production value, and tech that all worked. We played as a team of 3 experienced enthusiasts and got out with just 5:40 left, so you know it was a good room. We also did Clark’s Crazy Christmas last year in this same space, and agree that this is a new room worth doing even though the space feels familiar and a couple of puzzles were similar. Overall, the the storyline is completely different and the vast majority of puzzles were new.

Great atmosphere, very immersive and on theme, tech all worked well, and there were some great reveals. But it’s only a 👍 not a ❤️ for me because there weren’t enough puzzles to do. A whole chunk of this room felt like following instructions to complete a task rather than solving puzzles that require thinking. Because you have to pay extra to do the room as a team of just 2, we did the room with 2 other escape room enthusiast friends, and we got out in just 38 minutes. Again, a few more puzzles would’ve helped make this a better experience for us, but it was still fun!

MindTrap Escape Room - Murrieta
Escape room

“Whimsical adventure for the whole family!” is the exact right description for this room. Bravo, MindTrap, for achieving what you set out to create! We thoroughly enjoyed this adventure and really loved the story narrative, puzzles, and special effects. The theming was so well done! We did it as 2 enthusiasts and purposefully took our time to enjoy the scenery and did not rush through the puzzles. We got out with about 10 minutes to spare and loved every minute we were in the room.

Quest Tavern

Quest Tavern has done it again! Loved the sweet theme & bright decor, the number of puzzles, and the variety of puzzles. We especially appreciated how many puzzles required teamwork! We were a team of 3 enthusiasts who worked together on all puzzles so we wouldn’t rush through the room, and we got out with less 10 mins to spare. Nico & Patrick were great game masters!

Definitely a unique room in terms of the tech, space, and story! There were a few mechanisms we hadn’t experienced before, and this one kept 4 enthusiasts busy and entertained for most of our 60 minutes, which is great as we love more challenging rooms. We enjoyed the room overall but were just a bit frustrated (as we usually are) when there are puzzles that look like you can complete them but actually you only have partial information so you end up spinning some wheels trying to solve something that can’t be solved yet. But this was a minor issue compared to all the fun moments we had. Strongly recommend you check out this room if you’re in the Twin Cities!

We enjoyed this room. I’m between a 👍 and a ❤️ but rounded up bc the atmosphere was good and the tech all worked. I just wish there were a couple more puzzles or some more varied puzzles. This is why I liked Museum of History better, which was a clear ❤️ for me. We did this as a group of 2 enthusiasts and got out with about 10 minutes to spare.
