I’ve done a few rooms here. I had liked some others that I did several years ago (Haunted Hotel, Rikers) but the last two times (including this one) I had a poor experience and will definitely not be back. I did not check the reviews on Morty (bad on me) but I can concur that the other reviews are spot on. I would not recommend this room at all. While the room is impressively detailed, that’s about it — the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. The lighting is shockingly poor; it’s not fun to not be able to see anything to solve puzzles. There are way too many red herrings. The puzzles are overly complicated; it’s annoying when you know how a puzzle works to still not be able to solve it bc you can’t see what’s going on or the opportunity for misinterpretation is too big. There is also too much going on at one time. This is also the second time I’ve not had a good experience with the game masters of this specific location. I had an unpleasant exchange at the end where I asked for a hint (thinking we had five minutes), and after ignoring me for at least 1-2 minutes the game master told me we had less than a minute left and wouldn’t give us the clue. When I said we were paying enough to get the hint even if we didn’t finish, he gave it to me with a sassy attitude. If there’s no timer in the room and you don’t give any support to help ensure teams are on track to at least be within striking distance to finish, you should expect your customers to be dissatisfied. This is the only escape room I’ve been to where I feel like the game masters are not attentive; it feels like they’re running multiple rooms at once and not really paying attention to you. Given that this is one of the most expensive escape rooms out there and the consistently unsatisfying experiences I keep having, you’re really better off going somewhere else.
