Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLAfter wanting to play this for a couple of years, we were finally standing outside of this location. The experience began at the moment we arrived, and what an experience it was! Fantastic actors made this so much more than an escape room, and it is the mix of the immersive theatre and the great puzzles that make this an experience you will remember. The balance of the two were really well done, and we felt like we got ample of time to experience and enjoy both parts of the game. This was our first game with an actor, and for some people it will feel difficult to embrace and interact with the characters as part of the room, but for me, I loved it. I’m just adding to the list of people saying you should play this one, so I am going to end on that: You should play this one!

With that said, this is a truly awesome experience. The setting, the actors, the sets, the start, the ending, the middle, everything! So many fantastic moments! If you want to see where immersive escape room-ish experiences can take you, you should really play this one!
40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLYes, yes, yes! (This could have been my full review) Just go and play it as soon as you can, especially if you love rooms with a lot of puzzles. This was one of the rooms I was most looking forward to on our US trip, and it's always a bit scary to be hyped for something, as it's hard to meet those expectations. 40 Thieves met all my expectations, and so much more. This was my wives room #200, and we couldn't have been happier. From the completely fantastic opening, and throughout the whole game, this one just keeps on giving. This is a puzzle lovers dream come true, and there was a lot to do at all times. We had fantastic flow, and ended up escaping in 46 minutes without any hints. I love games that flow well, and here it was just perfect. I cannot find a single thing I didn't like about the room, and this will be in my favorites for a long time to come. 100% recommend that you travel to play this game.
The Last SupperQuest TavernEscape roomIRLWow! What to say that hasn’t been said already? This was a truly unique, fun and stressfull experience! This is an escape room, but at the same time, it’s different from all other escape rooms. The interaction with the actor is not just there to serve the story, but is actually needed to get further in the game. To fully enjoy this game, you’ll need to go with the flow, and play the role of the dinner guests as best as you can. The actor did a truly awesome job at answering us, throwing funny comebacks at us, and all while staying completely in character. The puzzles in the room are fun, but they are not the reason to play this game. They are there for you to have something to do while being stressed out about when the next interaction will be. If you are ok with an intense experience, and you’re ok with having to actively engage with an actor, you should really consider going to play this room! It was also extremely fun for me to have to use my juggling skills to bring the game further ahead. I never thought that would happen in an escape room!
The Weeping WitchCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLI haven’t played many horror rooms, mostly because I don’t function in them, and I don’t like to be scared. Or so I thought…. Visiting LA from the other side of the world, we wanted to play this highly ranked Terpeca game…even if it had an actor, and was scary! Oh boy, I am happy that we did! The game was fantastic! The balance of great puzzles, and great scares makes this game really stand out. For horror novices like us, the game made us feel very safe at all time, and we got to puzzle when we puzzled, and be scared when we got scared. I highly reccomend playing this one, even if you don’t think you like horror games.
Going UndergroundCrime Runners - Branch Alser StrasseEscape roomIRLAs everyone says, this is one of the best rooms we have played. It is more an interactive experience than a pure escape room, but as long as you are ok with a non puzzle heavy room, you’ll probably love this. Everything works, and it is a fantastic eperience. One puzzle is extra hard with 2 people, but we luckily didn’t spend too much time on it. Reccomend everyone to play this!
Trezor: Tajemství Jacka Daniela [Safe: The Secret of Jack Daniel]The Padlock CemeteryEscape roomIRLAnother completely amazing escape room in Prague! We loved Mission 53 from The Padlock, but this was on another level. An official Jack Daniels escape room is pretty cool in itself, and this was done in such a good way. The game feels like a «real» place, and the puzzles are diverse, fun and challenging. The ending is a fantastic way to end the night, and we couldn’t be happier with this game!
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLTogether with 3 other people we never met before, we ended up outside this unmarked door, not knowing what we were about to experience (that is a lie, we were pretty sure it would be an escape room) This room has been on my list since we started thinking of a US trip, and now that I have played it, it was fun. It was probably a top room when it was new, but everything felt a bit old and "traditional" compared to how many great reviews I had read of it. It's not a bad game by any means, with loads of puzzles and fun ideas, but it feels a bit dated, and lands in the category of games with a "home made" feel. I wouldn't say that I don't reccomend it, but most other games we played in LA was better.
