Servants of SleightThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLOne of the most immersive experiences with great attention to detail. It really felt like we were breaking into a shop and heading into an initiation ceremony. A bunch of elements were triggered by the GM. Usually this is a red flag, but they were clearly watching and listening to us closely, so the reaction time felt like magic. #theEye GMs were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the enthusiasm they have for these games. Love that they value our opinion. They walked us through the game afterward to ensure we understood everything, especially because it was non-linear and everyone wasn’t necessarily involved with every puzzle.
Kobe Sushi Co.Room With A ClueEscape roomIRLLove the unique scenario and detailed decor. The game featured many combination locks but it wasn’t a turn off because of the innovative puzzles. Beware, this location has a habit of incorporating math into their puzzles. Some of the clues were not intuitive and required a nudge from the gamemaster but it was overall enjoyable.
The Red DoorsHawaii Escape ChallengeEscape roomIRLThe scenario is too vague. The high tech nature of the room was fun but there is no context for how some of the clues and puzzles are to be solved. When we failed to complete the final puzzle before time ran out the gamemaster couldn’t even tell us how to solve it. In addition, the gameplay is linear, which I do not like.
