The Asylum: PlaytimeLost GamesEscape roomIRLThe Asylum: Playtime is probably the best escape room I’ve ever done. The live actors make the experience even more immersive, and Addison as Smoker Sally really sold it. Scary, challenging, hilarious, and unique puzzles. What more could you ask for?
Pandora’s BoxTrapped! Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLReally fun effects (water, wind, heat) and some unique puzzles make for a one-of-a-kind experience. Sal was a great game-master and was hilarious as Rowan. Only complaint we had was that some of the puzzles’ mechanics were repetitive.
The Fortune TellerLost GamesEscape roomIRLA really unique experience that that isn’t a traditional “escape”, instead focusing on solving a mystery with one-of-a-kind mechanics that center around a deck of Tarot cards. Solving puzzles awards coins which can be used to buy hints as well as purchase items from an in-game shop, some of which can be used to solve other puzzles in the room. A live actor is in the room with you (Sasuke was great!) to aid in storytelling, offer help, and keep you on track. 10/10 would play again.
Wizard TrialsPanIQ Room - SacramentoEscape roomIRLAs a fairly inexperienced team of two (10ish games) we felt that this room was fairly challenging as it had some cool puzzle mechanics we hadn’t encountered previously. While this room as listed as a lower difficulty than the Asylum we felt that Wizard Trials was actually the more challenging of the two.
Insane AsylumPanIQ Room - SacramentoEscape roomIRLAs a 2-player experience we really enjoyed this one. Lots of unique and challenging puzzles, some types we’d never encountered before anywhere else. Definitely challenging but because hints were given out regularly without prompting from us we actually found this one to be easier than Wizard Trials.
