Enjoyed the room! It was fun and the truck was unique. My 2-person team was challenged and needed more hints than in most games we played. I got my money’s worth and would come back to try their other rooms.
Most of the game play revolves around the escape room standard of unlocking padlocks. Confusion leans in by using a wide range of padlock styles, to mix it up. The puzzles involving the truck offer the real unique flavor for the room.
Gameplay was fun.
The truck is a pretty unique set piece, which was fun. Fun use of cash props and other props that I won’t spoil.
Staff was great! Friendly and welcoming. Hints were given in character which is always fun.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Yep. The truck.
Story was meh, but very few escape rooms really nail a good narrative, in my opinion.
The room stayed pretty thematically consistent and was supported by set and props.
I have one narrative gripe, but revealing it would be a spoiler.
We needed more hints than I’d like to admit!
Padlocks and magnet locks gated most of the puzzles.
3, maybe 4 is the most I’d recommend.
It’s hard to say what the ideal number is. We played as a two player team and there were times we just needed more hands and eyes. However, this game runs pretty linearly, so it would also be easy for it to get overcrowded.
Minor issue with a door magnet popping open. It didn’t impact us and the GM quickly reset it.
No live actors, but the GM gave us hints in character which was a fun touch.
Physically active
Somewhat
Some minor climbing in and out of a box truck. Not going to be wheel chair accessible.
Accessibility
Not wheel chair accessible due to climbing.
Some clues are given audibly over a phone.
Some color matching.
