I thought this was a cool room. I won’t do the other one here cuz I don’t do occult stuff. The only slightly maybe downside is they also offer axe throwing so it can break the illusion of being in the escape room but still I liked it!

The room itself was cool but the puzzle had very little logic when you break it down. We blazed through the first 5 puzzles and it felt great but then at a certain point the puzzles stopped having flow and making sense. Additionally one of the clues that we had, we were told doesn’t matter on the screen so we ignored and moved on but weren’t getting anywhere. We didn’t complete it on time and at the end we asked about that clue and she told us that it did matter. It was really frustrating to have been misled by the employee.

Spellbound: A coven of witches dedicated to the task of keeping a group of vampires subdued needed our help. We had to slay the vampire before he awoke from his sleep. Terminal: An evil mastermind had launched a secret plot in the subway system of New York City. We had to discover the plan before it was too late. Pros: How many ways can we say AWESOME!? Just when we thought Phoenix couldn't get any better it did! Seriously awesome set design in both Spellbound and Terminal. The storyline for both rooms had us pumped up to play before the game even started. The immersive sets had us truly believing we were in the stories. We especially loved the puzzles in Spellbound that required a different type of thinking than the usual lock-based games. The puzzles in both rooms were all aligned to the theme. The game masters were enthusiastic about their job and about the games. We loved every second at Mindspark! Definitely go check them out. They deserve the escapeologists highest honors with our four top awards.

The room was well done. Decor was great! The motion at the beginning was definitely a new twist to a room! You make your way into three rooms and the last room just a 10 foot wall that is open to the axe throwing next door. Luckily, no one was playing when we went on a Sunday evening, but if you are doing this with any axe throwers, it would definitely disrupt the experience. Some of the puzzles were well thought through, but the ending is saying 5 key answers to ‘crack the code’ to the game master which made the ending a little bit anti-climatic. My rating is a 6 out of 10.

Very below average room might even say bad, only thing it had going for it was a pretty good set design. Customer service was fine. However their system needs to be fixed. They had 1 employee managing both rooms at once and helping with axe throwing all at the same time. Rooms are not soundproof, so we heard the axe throwing and people in the other room all throughout, which led to our clues (Only limited to 3) being wayy too late. We'd ask for a clue and since the employee isn't focused on our game we'd wait a couple minutes not knowing what to do then it'd finally pop up. Other than the bad experience, room had too much search and find and also a lot of red herrings. There were a couple of cool set props, but the puzzles were confusing and a couple didn't feel on theme with the subway. 2.2 out of 5 on the enthusiast chart.

Such phenomenal production design and so freaking clever. You do start on a subway train that does move but two of us with motion sickness never were impacted. Great puzzles and the entire room made for options for multiple people to be working things as one.
