This is a puzzler’s paradise of a room. Basically every type of puzzle you can think of is thrown at you, and it all is executed brilliantly. Easily a perfect intro to horror-based rooms. Steven was an amazing host - if I’m in the area again, will be making time for another ClueIQ game.
LOTS of different puzzles, going from math to logic to observation to word. Nothing felt like a leap on logic at all, and it was very clear what led into what.
Literally felt like you opened the door to a colonial-era manor. Beautiful design, and the horror elements are really well done with everything feeling realistic and purposeful.
Steven was an awesome GM - talked with our group about reality TV competition for like 20 minutes beforehand and it was clear he REALLY cared for us.
Yes
There is a LOT to do here - and the theme was something i haven’t seen exactly anywhere else.
Everything felt like it continued to drive the plot as to why you were there in terms of breaking in to retrieve Ichabod’s head.
Hard
There are a LOT of different types of puzzles, some with multiple steps where you need to interpret things correctly. There are multiple locks that could take the same code at points, but the right box is almost always obvious. We didn’t require hints but we’re a VERY experienced group.
Mechanical
A lot of locks - however, there is absolutely tech in this game and it’s mainly there to enhance the horror elements.
6
4-6 dependent on your group’s experience. The starting area for the first 3rd is a little cramped for 7+ but you ABSOLUTELY need 4 people to solve everything, with that group being split down the middle on different paths.
Spooky
Some jumpscares throughout with good effect, but no crazy gorey environments or live actors.
13
Definitely some loud jumpscares and general theme that would scare young kids. Puzzles could also go over their heads very quickly.

Not at all
At most, crouching was needed sometimes to look at something.
Audio puzzle at one point, lots of text to read - some high up or with intentional miswriting / changed characters - and moments of darkness + jumpscares.

You will need to grab a parking space on the street nearby, but there should be some open and easily payable via app.

This was our favorite room at Clue IQ (they’re all good, this was just the best!). Lots of unique puzzles, multiple things to be working on at one time, big space to navigate, immersive and fun theme, everything you could ask for in an escape room!

All around good! The puzzles, the mechanisms, and the set design were great. The intro was a bit lacking but the room itself is worth the hype

So fun! So many puzzles to solve! They played with light a lot.

Great room with clever puzzles. They claim the room is “non-linear,” and there are certainly a lot of puzzles you can choose from to solve at just about every point in the game.

If you are an escape room enthusiast you will absolutely love this room. We were in awe with how large the rooms were and how good the puzzles were. The puzzles were very fun and challenging enough to really make you think but not frustrate you. The atmosphere and mechanisms were very interesting and kept us smiling the whole time.

Awesome room! Puzzles were fun. I think the set was kind of meh but it fit the story and overall vibe of the room. Some creepy elements and loud noises, but No jump scares so all my fellow anxious friends should be okay :)

Crane Manor doesn’t disappoint. Great immersive atmosphere with a cool twist. Relatively unique and some unseen puzzles. Top game for the Tristate area.

“It was an unusual and puzzley escape game, and well worth checking out if you’re from the area.“
