Chicago Bank Heist

This escape room does not represent Chicago. The room has ok puzzles, but horrible design. There are about 10 nearly identical locks that you can put numbers in at any given time. It’s impossible to tell which number goes where, and this includes a safe that will lock you out after 3 attempts. Worse, there are several clues used to represent completely different things. And after you open a locked door, you have to close it again, which further confuses you on which doors and numbers you’re used. And about 5 of the locks are red herrings. Some puzzles seem skippable because we escaped without opening every lock. I was dumfounded to see how we exited. Gotta hand it to Chicago. This windy city knows how to blow away its robbers.

All in all not of one of my favorite escape games but also not terrible. There was a lock that was a little finicky but other than that things were okay. The game was played Pre-pandemic and had the maximum amount of players and it just felt a little too packed for me.

Bank Heist was a fun game and had a few really fun moments. Game is a little outdated and some older locks/props, but still a fun time. Mastermind is a solid ER company.

Very immersive. There’s a point where you get to the safety deposit boxes of the bank and that’s kind of the downfall of the game. It’s just SO MANY NUMBERS. Sometimes you do a room and it’s a little disappointing because there’s too many padlocks. The safety deposit half of the game suffers from this in the form of keypads.

My third escape room ever and a blast. Lots of nice physical puzzles and moving around.
