100% horror theme! Will get your heart pumping and adrenaline rushing. Even with the scares, it is an amazing escape game with unique puzzles, live actors, and great host!

Nicole and Tom were so nice, I’ve done this escape room twice and both times it was totally worth it. The experience is scary and definitely would go a third time.

I booked it as rated R and not scary but the GM convinced us to try out scary. I only cried three times. I don’t like haunted houses, so I’m conflicted on how to review this. I’m glad we visited Nocturne, as the GMs are incredible people and built amazing sets. The other person trapped with you is an amazing actor. The puzzles were only difficult because my heart was pounding and I was terrified. It was a unique experience for me after 70+ completed rooms. But I will probably never do another scary room again.

Awesome experience! Went yesterday with some family and we all had a great time. It was my first time at an escape room. The Ripper is a thrilling experience. You will be trying to figure out how to escape from The Ripper. The live actors for The Ripper were so good!!! I won’t say much more to leave it a surprise. But I will say, they put their heart and souls into this. These are some of the most down to earth people you will meet. My wife, who has autism, was able to have all commendations met for both experiences. 5/5 Will be back with friends.

This is actually a SCARY room! It's like you're in a horror movie! The live actors do an amazing job and really immerse you into the plot! It also provides a really organic nudge system when needed. If you were bummed out when you escaped other places rooms that were advertised as "scary", -This R rated room is the room for you! (I really don't think anyone looking for a scary/thrilling escape would be disappointed the Ripper). Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly scary escape room! -and if scary, adrenaline pumping rooms isn't your thing, their other room Nevermore, is also wonderful. Don't get weirded out that this is home business. It is really professional and beautifully designed. The owners are some of the nicest people! You're not really going to get chopped to bits lol. Thank you, Nicole, Tom and Rachel, for such a thrilling and wild ride! You all were so amazing and kind! (Not to mention f*kgin scary!) I hope to come visit you again and experience future builds. I know it will never disappoint!

If you love escape rooms, Nocturne Adventures is a MUST!!! Our group of 6 did the R-rated Ripper Room and it was by far the best escape room experience we have ever had....and we are fairly experienced. The owners, Nicole and Tom, put a lot of effort into making sure your experience is fantastic. The attention to detail and level of the game is outstanding! We are definitely coming back to experience their other room and would recommend this for any group! We had an amazing time!

Wait, wait, wait. This is one of those "Escape the Serial Killer's Lair" games & you recommended it as a must-do?? That's right. I've lost count as to how many games I've done with this theme. Some have sucked, some were good and THIS IS THE BEST ONE I'VE EVER DONE. It's a perfect blend of escape game and experience. The puzzles were great with a nice linear flow with even the traditional serial killer themed ones coming off as fresh. The live actors stole the show removing any type of clue system that would take you out of the immersion. Some random things to note: 1. Make sure you ask them about the tally marks on the front of the door before you start the game. 2. Like their other game, there’s no time limit. They just want you to enjoy every moment. Don’t worry, I can assure you that the lack of a timer did not take away in the slightest from the sense of urgency in trying to escape. Just trust me. 3. This is a scary ass game! As I mentioned in the details, you can choose the rated R version versus the slightly tamer version, but I think this has to do more with cursing and a naked picture. I don’t think it has anything to do with the fear factor. 4. There’s an extra moment or two that I will not spoil that’s just a little something that makes this even more terrifying, and all in all, and even more wonderful experience. 5. This is a business that is actually in the basement of someone’s home. Don’t let that deter you in the least. The game is smooth and as professional and operation as you could want. If you love escape rooms (and don’t mind being scared), you’ll love this game. If you love horror experiences, you’ll definitely love this game. Like their other game, this is worth making the trek to Hickory. Take the time and do both. You’ll be glad you did.

I would 100% recommend this escape room to others. It was scary, had a story that the room was committed to. The puzzles were fun and purposeful. I had so much fun!

Wow! This experience was insane in the best way! The story, scares, and puzzles were perfection. I was immediately immersed and felt like I was in a different world. The actors were amazing and helpful, adding to the experience in multiple ways! The unexpected twists and turns of the game were so fun!! Thank you, Nocturne, for the best scary game I’ve ever played!!
