This was not a true escape room. You had to complete tasks but you just had to complete as many as you could in the amount of time allotted. The sets were pretty cool but that was about it. Too expensive for what it was.

This is not your typical escape room, but that’s what I loved about it! I think it was very well-done. I would best describe it as an “immersive puzzle experience.” We had a group of seven, and the division of responsibilities became necessary, so everyone felt like they made a meaningful contribution. There was some really cool technology used, and sound and lighting design was phenomenal. This could actually be re-playable. There is scoring system, so you’ll always “escape,” but you may do better or worse each time. I want to do it again to beat my score. This is a really fantastic product to add to Universal’s line-up, and if you are at Universal Orlando, looking for something interesting to do in the AC, I would highly recommend.
The puzzles themselves could at times be repetitive, but the integration with story and technology was great.
Lighting, set design. and sound were AMAZING. Loved each environment. There are many “rooms.”
Having done many escape rooms, the staff felt more distant than usual, and the hint system was through an “AI” character, but that’s how it was set up, not a testament to the quality of the staff - they were great!
Yes
Loved the many rooms and interesting set design, puzzles were linear, but still required everyone in the group to complete. I think the immersion was the best part here and worth the price of admission.
Great! Completely story-driven. No keys, no typical locks. There is a keypad at one point. Like I said before, come for the immersion, stay for the puzzles.
Medium
The puzzles themselves were quite easy, but there were other elements thrown in to make those easy puzzles more difficult (darkness, stipulations, cool technological shrouds). There were a couple where the time allotted was the biggest challenge (not enough).
High tech
Lots of screens, but well integrated into the sets and activities. Some very cool technology with smart glass. Loved it!
6
I think 6 is the ideal number based on division of responsibility. We had seven, and there were a couple points where there was an odd person out.
Spooky
There are definitely moments of suspense created. There is a fog effect and the audio of scary dinosaurs trying to get to you. There is one “jump” moment. I’m sensitive when it comes to scary or startling things, and I was perfectly fine for this, but those under 12 may not be.

We had one technical issue, but we recognized it quickly and identified it to the game guide, who moved us along. It didn’t feel like it took anything away from the experience. We had also solved the puzzle already.

Not at all
There are lots of rooms, and some small spaces. Be prepared to move through the space, but not in a strenuous manner.
No puzzles relied solely on color. No puzzles relied on physical fitness, skill, or coordination. It may be difficult to participate with a vision impairment, and a good portion of the story is audio-driven, so the “suspense” may be lackluster for those who are hearing impaired.

Lots of parking available in CityWalk, it’s just going through the whole process of walking from the garage and going through security.

Overall fun experience especially for those who are big Jurassic Park or dinosaur fans. Some of the puzzles were either too easy or hard to follow. I love a multi room escape room so that’s a plus!
Some puzzles were unclear with 3 adult escape room enthusiasts. It was not clear as to what we should do or a clear way to solve the problem.
Universals theming is immersive but I’m not a fan of the mostly video activities. The overall theme is iconic and fun and definitely transportive.
Staff was fun and willing to answer questions.

Some kiddos may be scared as the theming and sounds can be startling!

To start I would say I had a good time and I enjoyed the set design and theming. I read the negative reviews which are mostly about "this is not an escape room". I would say comparison is the stealer of joy. It is a Jurassic World themed interactive experience and if you go in with that mind set you will have fun. Really liked the lobby.

This experience is more of a guided walk-through attraction than an actual escape room. But the most important question is if it’s fun? The answer is no. Each of the rooms basically feature one puzzle each. The bookings are public, so you and possibly a bunch of strangers, must navigate through small rooms trying to solve one puzzle in the entire room. Excuse me, did I say puzzle? I meant task. The “puzzles” are mostly repetitive tasks and busy work with multiple levels. If you solve the puzzle the first time, you have to do it again, just slightly harder. The guide even recommends you switch around roles so everyone in the public booking group gets a chance to play. What even is this?! The task also isn’t that fun the first time, and I was actually getting bored waiting to transition to the next area. If you don’t finish every level of every task within the room’s time limit, you don’t get a perfect score. Did I mention that it’s score based? Everyone escapes either way, so the room just tests how fast you can do the tasks based on an invisible time limit. But at least it’s immersive, right? Well, about that. If you come in expecting even half the set and prop quality of the Universal Studios theme park rides, you will be severely disappointed by the “immersion.” The rooms are $60 per person, so you might as well just pay more to go spend a day at the actual theme park if you want Jurassic Park adventures. The Back to the Future escape attraction here is more fun and more similar to a traditional escape room, so I would recommend that if you’re really raring to try one of these out. Or watch the movies!

Amazing escape room. Unfortunately we did not make it out in time but we did very well. It was fun, challenging, and we had plenty to do being it was just two of us. We would absolutely do it again.
It felt as if we really were in the park trying to save guests.
All staff members were very friendly and helpful.

I have a lot to say about this experience relative to the main stream blogosphere. A Seamless High-Tech Experience with Universal Flair! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an unexpectedly great time here! ⚡🕵️♀️ From start to finish, everything ran super smooth – almost to a fault because each room is timed ⏱️, so you’re always moving! Definitely helped keep the energy up the whole way through. This one’s all about the tech! 🖥️🧩 Touchscreens, and clever tasks. It felt really modern and high-end, and because the play mechanic is computerized I can see how it can give one a great replay value! ♻️ Theming was absolutely stunning ✨ – not a shock since it’s Universal. The rooms looked incredible, and the story we were given fit the theme perfectly. The tasks were fun and just challenging enough. But it must be noted that ALL the puzzles are task oriented. Some took a second to click 🤔, but once they did, we were flying through them. That stated, the task is the same once you get on a roll so the only task variation is from room to room. Not scary at all 👻❌, so kids can totally play, though anyone under 13 will definitely need a adult help for the logic 🧒👨👩👧👦. It’s not super physical either, UNLESS you’re a 2-player group; in that case, be ready to do a little cardio accomplishing y'all's in one or two of the rooms! 🏃💨 Shoutout to the staff (Razz), they were friendly, helpful, and knew their stuff 🙌. Nothing in the rooms were broken, everything worked perfectly ✅, and while there weren’t any live actors, the whole experience was super immersive. Bonus: the game is very accessible ♿ and easy to find on the Universal City Walk map 📍. Parking: Easy 🚗 Tech level: Through the roof ⚙️💡 Scare level: 1/10 spooky vibes Best for: Groups of 2-5 👯♂️👯 Age: 13+ recommended, younger with help The only negative is I would love to see selfies and pictures allowed in the experience! 📸 If you’re into slick, high-tech escape games with amazing visuals and task based gameplay, you’ll have a great time here. If you're wanting a traditional lock/key and cipher/logic puzzles you'll be disappointed. We’re already thinking about running it back with my kiddos!
Flowed extremely well; some might say to a fault because the individual rooms are timed
Stunning theming. Not surprised because it's Universal
The hosts were well informed.
