The darkroom aspect was cool, but everything else was underwhelming to me. There was no introduction to the room to provide context for how you ended up there in that setting, so the start was a little jarring. There also weren’t many puzzles to solve and I wasn’t really using my brain, just following instructions as they were provided, which was a little boring for me. Because of that, I wouldn’t really classify this as an escape room, it was more like a private haunted maze experience. Not really my jam, not really an escape room. I’d only recommend this to people who enjoy horror stories and creepy haunted house type of experiences.

Not much of a game, to me, more of just following directions.
I thought the novelty of playing a room in complete darkness was cool.
Meh. No intro story at the beginning to explain the setting, she just pretty much told us good luck and then you had to make up your own reason for being in this situation.

Meh, once you’ve done a dozen of the creepy, horror, serial killer escape rooms, you feel like you’ve done them all and the novelty wears off for you.
Easy
I wish there had been puzzles in this room. There was only one, arguably two puzzles, the rest was just locating things and following directions.

More than 2 wasn’t necessary and wouldn’t enhance the experience. It just might help you get done more quickly.
Scary
It is intended to be scary.

I would only bring a kid to this room who already loves horror and creepy moves and relishes that. Otherwise it could be too unpleasant for a kid, or even an adult who hates that sort of stuff.

Could be a challenge for someone who has mobility challenges, but otherwise seemed very accessible.

Great horror escape experience with friends. Highly recommend it for groups. :)

A unique experience for sure. Definitely easier with fewer people as there were fewer cooks in the kitchen. ;)

A surprisingly fun story-based game that manages to find a type of gameplay that is fun in pitch black (though it is very much story based and it’s not the deepest story ever). I don’t want to say anymore because it’s best to go into this experience blind (no pun intended). Something you should experience if you find the pitch black idea interesting though not much past that.

I've done a few pitch black rooms and this is my favorite one. The use of props and furniture was unlike anything I'm witnessed. 4 people was perfect for this room.

I give this room a 4/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). The set design/theme was awesome! I know you're thinking, how can I comment on the set design when I couldn't see it but vision is not the sense I'm referring to here! Having to feel the set was a very unique experience and made it all the more enjoyable. My rating was based on the novelty of the room being in complete darkness and the way they created puzzles to move you through the experience. Very creative and enjoyable! That being said, I wouldn't go running to find another complete darkness type of escape room - the puzzles are easy and basically just a hunt and find concept - but I would recommend to try at least once. Take caution though, it truly is black in there. My hubby ended up with a battle wound from a hasty head motion!

I really love this escape room! Such a unique and fun experience! Never had done anything like this before. I thought when they said "pitch dark", they mean there will be some flashlights ... but NO. You and your team will be immersed in darkness with just your other 4 senses to rely on. 😆 I imagine the GMs for this escape room are having a blast watching people run on/grope each other. 😆🤣 One thing that I did want to point out was that during our game, our GM realized that the room wasn't properly reset and were missing some key elements. I wish they would've given us discount codes, or free stickers as compensation but that didn't happen. Ohh well ... 🤷🏻♀️ Overall though, I had a great time! Very fun room. Not too scary, no jumpscares and no live actors. I think it's just the right amount of spooky. 😁

The room wasn't reset properly. The GM had to interrupt our game to tell us.
Shoutout to GM, Ivy!
