You and your teammates are the (elven) residents of the magical woods of Gahl-Zaan. You have lived a quiet, peaceful life, but it may not always be that way: the local population of humans has caught wind of the mystical tree within your woods, the source of the forest’s magic. Being humans, they want to invade the forest and cut down the tree for their own use, which would be devastating to your people. With an attack coming soon, the time has come to create a magical barrier to protect the woods from those who wish it harm, but a spell this powerful will require outside help. It falls upon you, the high elf council, to garner support from elven cities far and near to protect your livelihood.

Really disappointed by this one. We finished the game in 30 min. Small room. Was totally expecting another room to open or something, but nope, just the one small room. Not enough to do. Puzzles were just okay. I don’t appreciate how they ask you to do a google review right there at the front desk after you play. Explains why the google reviews are mostly positive, but real reviews are not. They are putting pressure on people to leave a positive review. Obviously leaving a bad review right there would be awkward.

Hello Ayemanduh, Thank you for leaving your feedback. We're sad you and your group did not have a great time with our Elven Forest room. We always are looking to improve our escape experiences so that are the best they can be for our guests. We've passed your feedback along to our management and design teams so that we can see how we can bring better experiences for our players (like you!). Regarding your feedback about asking for reviews: Reviews are very important to gathering feedback about our experiences in a transparent way. We want potential guests to know what to expect and to get that information straight from past players. While we certainly love to see all the positive feedback our guests leave us in online reviews, we equally appreciate the negative feedback, as we feel we learn more about what works and does not work from negative reviews. With that said, we try to make the process of leaving reviews as easy as possible for our guests, and so we provide reminders and links to review websites to our guests before they leave so that they might leave us a review while the experience is fresh in their minds. What should not be happening is having any of our team members ask for a specific kind of review or expect any obligation to leave a review of any kind. It sounds like our team missed the mark with your group in this instance. I would appreciate some additional details about your experience, so if you would be willing, we would like to set up a call or email to discuss the matter further. To be clear: it is not our philosophy at Bond's to ask or create dishonest or misleading reviews. While we cannot control how our guests choose to express or create their feedback, we are confident that the feedback our guests leave us is genuine and accurate to the best of their abilities. Please send us an email at [email protected] so tat we might have you share some additional details of your experience with our management team. Thanks again for your feedback. We hope to deliver a much better experience on your next visit to Bond's. - Bond's Management

TLDR: There were not a lot of challenging puzzles. Too many “find this item, touch it against here” types with some not making sense at all. Decent atmosphere but still a bit dull. I did this room with a group of five people, benching from people who have never done an escape room to people have done plenty. And we all agreed. This was a very weak room. Gameplay: it was not a very fun room, when it came to the clues. There were maybe two clues that we thought were actually good and fun to solve, but a lot of the other clues simply revolved around, putting some thing in a location, or touching some thing to a correct place and having a slot open. One of the things made no sense at all, and even the game Master agreed when we talked afterwards. Not a lot of puzzle solving this one. Atmosphere: atmosphere was a bit dull, but it was not bad. It’s a small room, but at least they did a decent job of making it somewhat dense with props and clues.

The Elven Forest was a unique experience. Puzzles and tasks were somewhat intuitive; the game flow really depended on how your perception was of this. Unique theme, room design, and storytelling when combined with the castle!

Gameplay

The gameplay felt unique and unconventional given the uncommon room design.

Even though the room is on the smaller side due to its peculiar shape, it has a lot of cute hidden things within it and it all flows together well. It is beautifully decorated.

Super cute and all high-tech! Definitely on the easy side, especially for enthusiasts. Perfect rooms for beginners or families. 3-4 players would work great due to room sizing and the non linear nature of the puzzles. Game master was great and provided perfect hints.
