We played this right after Jazz Parlor which is a follow-up in the overarching storyline. It's an older game, mostly mechanical, but don't let that stop you. This was an enjoyable experience. I will say it's quite a bit easier than Jazz Parlor and we breezed right through with at least twenty minutes to spare. (Glad we did too, because that let us return to Parlor and play the bonus puzzles-see my other review.)
MG Study had a very nice flow and all puzzles made sense & were pretty intuitive. The room matched the overall company, a room in an eclectic New Orleans mansion.
Escape My Room is a fun company to check out if you are in New Orleans. I'd recommend you do both Parlor and Study. We didn't do their Smuggler's Den due to a time crunch and it seemed the high reviews came from a the novelty of a dark room. From a story standpoint, Parlor first. From an easy to hard plan, Study first.
