This is a puzzle-heavy room, there's a lot of stuff to do, and it's parallelizable, so it's appropriate for larger groups. Puzzles seemed good, though were a mix of things that made sense in context and others that seemed like they were just there to have puzzles. While the set isn't exotic, it does a good job of conveying a bustling shop with lots of interesting things to look at and interact with. It felt like there was a missed opportunity with a prop that we started with - while it was eventually relevant, I expected it to play a larger role.

2 enthusiasts felt like there was a lot to do - we managed, but it felt kind of stressful. 3 or 4 would have been better. On the other hand, a late-game area will probably feel cramped with 4, so 3 may be ideal.

We had an exceptionally pleasant game-master, who gave us a warm welcome. The room had delightful decor. The puzzles were fun. The story reminded me of Efteling. In Disney, everything seems perfect. In Efteling, the dark & the light are revealed simultaneously. The darkness at La ConFeeserie was revealed very subtly, & could be missed. In any case, I thought the story was interesting.

Despite the fact that we played two others rooms at this location and didn't enjoy ourselves, we went back to play this room due to the overwhelming reviews. Unfortunately, we did not like it. First, we found that a lot of puzzles were ambiguous. I wasted a TON of time on a scale in the room because it didn't balance without assistance. After wasting all kinds of time, I realized that there was a note on the scale only in French that I couldn't translate. After the room, I translated it and found that it would have been the information I needed to save all that time. This wouldn't be an issue if the GM was more attentive, but as was the case with the other rooms we've played here, it doesn't feel like the GM is actively interested in assisting the players so that they have the best experience possible. We were frustrated on multiple occasions when we completed a puzzle and couldn't tell what we'd unlocked or achieved. This validation every time a puzzle is completed really adds to the experience. We were also a bit put off on arrival because one of our players needed to use the restroom, but they wouldn't let her until she paid. Then, when she got in the back, she had to take her shoes off before going to the bathroom. It was quite odd and annoying. We break down our experiences into categories, and this is how I would rank each category: Puzzles 4/10 Set Design 7/10 (super cute) GM/staff 3/10 Puzzles are the most important category to us. If you're looking for a cute room with a similar theme in the area, I would recommend Mimi's Cupcakes at Paradox42. The puzzles are completely logical, and the flow is fantastic.

Hello, First of all, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate player feedback as it helps us continuously improve our adventures and provide the best possible experience. We’re sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. We’d like to clarify a few points you mentioned: Language and accessibility of clues: Our adventure is designed to be played in both French and English. We recently implemented a new version to ensure all audio components are available in English. You’re absolutely right—there was a piece of text on the scale that hadn’t been translated, and we’ve already taken action to fix this. It will be updated this week. Thank you for bringing it to our attention! Game Master (GM) engagement: Our GMs are trained to proactively follow players’ progress and respond quickly to hint requests. We will review what happened during your session, as we typically receive very positive feedback in this area. Puzzle validation: Our puzzles are designed to be engaging and immersive, and we’ve noted your feedback in our improvement log. We update the game twice a year to ensure it stays fresh and relevant. Regarding puzzle validation, the first part of the game includes sound effects to indicate when puzzles are solved, while in the second part, unlocked elements are always nearby. Since this is a non-linear adventure, it’s true that experienced players working on multiple puzzles simultaneously might sometimes find the flow less obvious. Shoes and restroom policy: We do ask players to remove their shoes to protect our immersive sets from salt and moisture, especially during the winter. We understand this might be unexpected, but we always provide alternatives like slippers. Regarding restroom access, our entrance is separate from the main game area, and we normally allow guests to enter when needed, even before payment. We will review why this wasn’t the case during your visit to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks again, and we hope to see you soon! Rémi Co-owner SOS Aventures

Very good game build. The decor was very well done and was of high quality. The puzzles were very unique and allowed a group to separate and solve different puzzles simultaneously which is great for teams of 4 or more. The hint system is well done with minimal interaction from the game master. There was one "red herring" prop that I spent time on that wasn't necessary otherwise the flow of the puzzles was quite logical. Highly recommend.

The beginning of this room starts off with a delightful sound that brings all the nostalgia real and imagined back to your mind. You bombarded by visual stimuli that is there to delight. Great thoughtful puzzles and some fun surprises to this charming room.

Absolutely magical! The decors are gourmand and colorful, the riddles are mouth watering. I absolutely recommend this game. There is a lot to do though, so experienced players would do better in that game and appreciate it more. Another game I wish I could have more of, and one of my favorite from SOS aventure!

I would say in between? It does not feel like a super high tech game but I don't think there were any traditionnal locks.

Challenging puzzles even for bitexperienced players in a beautiful immersive space. The story was well presented without taking too much from other aspects. It's somewhat small in scale though so for four players there were some moments where we were in close quarters. The lobby and entry into that location of SOS is a plus for players looking for the whole package.
