This city is a place of complete darkness. In this escape, you will not be able to use your phone, your smart watch, or any other light source. Your vision will be of no help to you, and you will be relying solely on your other senses. This room CAN be fully enjoyed by blind or visually impaired players! And hopefully, players without visual impairments will leave this experience with a new appreciation for people who navigate the world without the use of sight. This room is truly a unique experience, find out if you have what it takes to restore the sun and escape!

DISCLAIMER: all the reviews on here are there for a reason, it is what enticed me to this room - all the reviews on Google are great as well. It is definitely one of the most unique rooms out there. Iβm writing this because there are no negative reviews, and I do believe there is definitely a high claustrophobia component to this room. Very transparent that itβs in the dark at time, but thereβs also crawling and smaller spaces. Youβre not able to freely exit at any time - and instead, you have a panic button that automatically ends the game (which does stink if one player has a panic attack). Luckily our Game Masters were really great and allowed us to play their other room Dracula (which was wonderful). There are truly a good company. I just believe this review needs to be out there so that others donβt get very excited for this room and then become disappointed when the complete sensory removal hits them.

I was impressed. I really enjoyed this game. After doing a few games in the dark, I went in with low expectations. Most games like this are just a gimmick, where it ends up not being much fun. City with no Sun is markedly different. First off, it's a great game! They make a point that during the course of the game, you will encounter different puzzles that use ALL of your other senses (yep, including taste!). And the puzzles are solid and interesting and fun! Second, there's actual flow to this and it works. If there's a weak point, it's the story. Apparently, the city suddenly went into a full blackout. I'm not sure how you navigating through this game restores light to the masses. If you are in the Raleigh area, come for this game and check out Chernobyl as well. Time permitting, throw in Prison Break or Dracula or The Return.

This is a very unique space unlike any other rooms we've done before. It's definitely a humbling experience even for an escape room veteran. It's difficult to describe without spoiling the experience, but it's definitely worth your time.

City With No Sun was an unforgettable escape room experienceβall in complete darkness β«οΈ! To solve this room, we had to rely entirely on our other senses: touch, smell, sound, and even taste. From tactile puzzles to a smell challenge and more, every moment felt unique and immersive. We started in separate rooms, communicating to reunite by solving parallel puzzles. Weβve done a split-start room before, so I made some assumptions based on that previous room how things might work but I was wrong. Itβs a great reminder that every escape room is its own adventure. Though the room was pitch black, I felt totally comfortable. However, it might not be ideal for those who are uncomfortable in the dark or prone to claustrophobia. If you're an experienced player looking for a new challenge, I highly recommend it. Just keep your group to four or fewer players to avoid feeling crampedβand definately play a few other rooms first to build your skills!

This is a fun room for the novelty aspect of it. Iβve only played two other pitch dark rooms and although this had basically no narrative, I did think it took advantage of the puzzle possibilities the best. The room makes use of multiple senses and I found that delightful. I wouldnβt want every room I play to be like this. But once youβve done a decent amount of rooms, this is a very welcome change of pace. My only critique is that there is an end video that is a truly bizarre choice.

I enjoyed the novelty of this room and the engagement of each of the remaining senses for the puzzles. It was shorter and smaller than expected. This is a very puzzle, not story, oriented room.
