110 escape rooms

Mini escape room where almost all the gameplay takes place on a single two-sided wall. The team is split by the wall and communication between the sides is crucial to gameplay. Managed to capture the communication-based gameplay of split-team escape rooms quite well. Puzzles and theming are fun. Not a must-play, but pretty enjoyable.

this was so much fun! we came here specifically because of the asymmetric information and shortish playtime. Whole truth: I design escape puzzles and every room I go to is research. I LOVE rolling up to something unique and surprising. This game is perfect for walk-ins or beginners, or even experienced players who just want a little bite. we did not solve in the given time and they didn't eject us; they just let us finish, probably since nobody was waiting. we were tired and I was busy really analyzing the components instead of just playing. I would absolutely return and do other puzzles at this location.

Gameplay

this was so much fun and the asymmetric information component was carried out very nicely. The puzzles flowed well and were fun.

Atmosphere

if you really need a lot of atmospherics this is not the location for you. the puzzles aren't so much in rooms, but booths. each booth has a beautiful handcrafted prop screen between the halves of the team and there is seating on both sides so you're comfortable working it. the props are all nicely made and thematic. this is an escape room in miniature and I really hope this location does well because it is so much fun.

Customer service

our host was absolutely lovely and checked on us when we were slow to see if we were still having fun, which we were.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

the asymmetric information makes these games particularly interesting, as well as the game being small scale. it's low pressure and comfortable.

I'm old, tired, and slow and this was a hot afternoon after an active week. I cannot stress how nice it was to just sit and do this game.

Accessibility

I have mobility challenges, and it is possible to do this game mostly sitting down. I didn't measure, but probably you could fit a standard wheelchair in the booths? it's on the ground floor.

After completing Big Dig last year, we came back for another Co-Operatives game! The staff member recommended this one to us and we commented that it was rated challenging, and he said that all the games are designed to be the same difficulty, and the challenge ratings are based on player feedback and how well they do in the games. That definitely rang true to me, as we didn't find Elixir Mixer to be more challenging than Big Dig. Great puzzles and fun theme! I do wish the ending potion had more of a "big reveal" to mark completion. The potion was just a bottle full of glitter and didn't look any more exciting than the ingredients we'd been collecting. But besides that, it was another great Co-Operatives game with fun puzzles and kind staff. We look forward to returning a third time!

Accessibility

Some puzzles might be more difficult for people with low-vision, but overall I would say Co-Operatives is more accessible than many escape rooms.
