this was so much fun!
we came here specifically because of the asymmetric information and shortish playtime. Whole truth: I design escape puzzles and every room I go to is research. I LOVE rolling up to something unique and surprising. This game is perfect for walk-ins or beginners, or even experienced players who just want a little bite.
we did not solve in the given time and they didn't eject us; they just let us finish, probably since nobody was waiting. we were tired and I was busy really analyzing the components instead of just playing.
I would absolutely return and do other puzzles at this location.
this was so much fun and the asymmetric information component was carried out very nicely. The puzzles flowed well and were fun.
if you really need a lot of atmospherics this is not the location for you. the puzzles aren't so much in rooms, but booths. each booth has a beautiful handcrafted prop screen between the halves of the team and there is seating on both sides so you're comfortable working it. the props are all nicely made and thematic. this is an escape room in miniature and I really hope this location does well because it is so much fun.
Customer service
our host was absolutely lovely and checked on us when we were slow to see if we were still having fun, which we were.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
the asymmetric information makes these games particularly interesting, as well as the game being small scale. it's low pressure and comfortable.
you could do just ass well with three of four.
Physically active
Not at all
I'm old, tired, and slow and this was a hot afternoon after an active week. I cannot stress how nice it was to just sit and do this game.
Accessibility
I have mobility challenges, and it is possible to do this game mostly sitting down. I didn't measure, but probably you could fit a standard wheelchair in the booths? it's on the ground floor.
it's BOSTON, dude. so parking is either hard to find or expensive.
