I really enjoyed the storytelling of this room. The theme was done in a fun/spooky way, not a creepy/horror sort of way, which I enjoyed much more. The production quality of the set was top notch here and it was a fun atmosphere to experience the puzzles and story in.
I would say this is an Easy room with not very difficult puzzles, but the other aspects mentioned above are done so well that it makes up for the lack of challenge. I also really appreciate that they can scale down the 20 ghost stories if your group is going slower, or let you experience all of them if you have the time. It makes it so the more experienced escape room enthusiasts are not punished by finishing a room too quickly and still paying full price for it.
I’ve done all 3 of the currently offered rooms at Brain Games now and they are all fantastic in different ways. I would highly recommend doing all 3!
Our GM was great! This game requires a lot of interaction with the GM, so that mattered.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Lots of different mini stories in this room, so the variety was fun.
Mostly just following instructions.
More would start to get crowded and isn’t needed for this linear room with very straightforward puzzles.
It was on the funner, tongue-in-cheek side of ghost stories, rather than scary or horror stories.
Physically active
Somewhat
There is one part that requires crawling, but I am sure if you told them you didn’t want to in advance, they could help you avoid that.
Accessibility
It could be difficult to navigate the tight spaces in this room with a wheelchair. If you can get up a flight of stairs then you should be fine in here.
They have a small, private lot.
