This is a simple time with two straightforward rules: everything can be bought with enough gold, and don't get shot. It's a barren land where the undertaker is the busiest person in town, and next is the sheriff. There ain't much entertainment around this part of the map; not even the thrill of gunpowder and gambling can quench that thirst for adrenaline. A group of strangers arrives in town by coach—what will await them? Fame and glory, or death and destruction?

the room is nice but this review is based on value for paying 70$ per person. The actor was not needed and didn’t add any extra value to the game. Also, the person explaining the rules before the game should not be the actor in the room. Because it’s not believable and it should be someone we haven’t communicated with prior to. Gaining loot reminded me of a board game addition and was just time consuming . So much talking less time for puzzles… We couldn’t finish all the tasks at the end and the employee said it’s not designed for them all to be completed. My personality type needs to finish all the puzzles and i always feel the best when all have been completed . The final room also had a puzzle that I bet has 0% success rate because the information to solve it wasn’t in the locked room. Motel Betty and Hong Kong were way better.

Heart for the ambition of the room, for the last 20 minutes being very inventive with great puzzles/structure and for the atmosphere of the space. Top notch as with the other large/long rooms here. However if we had gone with more than 4-5 people we probably would have had a more negative experience. As with the other large rooms, Omventure struggles with wanting you to bring a large group of people, but then constructing their physical spaces and puzzles so that only a small few can meaningfully participate at any given time. If you go with 4ish, maybe max 6, this is a really really enjoyable experience. Other slight suggestions that maybe are a more matter of personal taste: 1) not sold on the needing of live actor in there 2) one (optional) puzzle at the end felt a bit unfair and could use better signposting that earlier info might be important later.
The team/bandit aspect was novel as was the end 25 minutes, lots of fun. Puzzles in the first portion were good for smaller groups.
The different scenes, the theatrics, the props, all top notch
Friendly GM. Since this was a room with a live actor, I would have liked the actor to be more “in character”

Last part I think other rooms should take note of. The competitive aspect, the priority and decision making, all made for an exciting finale
Hard
Lots of unique puzzles and twists on classics. I could see large groups communication getting tougher

This room is the best room I've done at Omeventure! It's not your typical escape room—definitely the most unique I've ever experienced. The puzzles are the perfect level of challenging for a room of this difficulty. The set is fantastic and the live actor made the room even better. Without spoiling it, the last part of the room is some of the most fun I've had in an escape room.

This is one of the best rooms I have ever done, the set of the room really feels like you are back in the Wild West, the live actor was hailorus and added a lot to the story, the puzzles are super cool and lots of them were unique, the room really shines in the last 20 mins

By far the most interactive and engaging room I’ve done. The rooms themselves were amazing, and the unique mechanics and twists keep you on your toes from start to finish

Omescape has rebranded as Omventure and launched a new escape room with a Wild West theme called Wild West Showdown, which just opened a week ago. The new theme continues the style of "Hong Kong after Dark," set up as a competitive game where players are divided into two teams based on assigned roles. Everyone competes for loot to see who scores the highest. Initially, everyone solves puzzles together, but towards the end, the teams enter separate rooms to see who can solve the most puzzles in the same amount of time. The setting is impressive, with a two-story saloon that really sets the mood. The puzzles are creative, linear, and varied, fitting well with the theme of the Wild West gold rush. Most puzzles are logic-based, and for anyone who isn’t a native English speaker, some English reading ability is required to quickly understand the rules; a bit of vocabulary is also needed, for example, knowing that "Feline" means cat. However, our game experience was not very smooth. First, the feedback system could be better; other than successful sound effects, there is no other feedback. Whether players make a mistake or act too soon, no feedback is provided, which can make players easily feel lost. Second, due to it being newly opened, the game master was quite inexperienced, with two instances of skipping puzzles and being hesitant when asked for hints, and errors like entering the next room too early due to unclosed doors. Although these issues can be understandable in a new escape room, as a customer who paid $63+tax, the experience was not very enjoyable. Overall, it has great ideas and some amazing designs in this room. It could be better. I also got some negative feedback from other friends a few months after I played. However, I believe that if they could better train game masters, it would be the next "Hong Kong after Dark." which is absolutely my favorite in GTA.

🤠🐴 Wild West Showdown was an interesting experience. I played in a group of 8, which I would NOT recommend doing since the game is mostly linear and there are some small spaces. The room has a live actor, but I wasn’t completely sold on the performance. The costume (or lack thereof), and his energy was not convincing. He was extremely nice though and tried to inject moments of comedy into the experience. This game is interesting in that you are working against each other, but also with each other. I would be curious to know how the player vs. player nature of the game is received by other groups. My group kind of had it in the back of our mind, and didn’t really keep track of the scoring system. The GM had to bring our attention back to it in the last 3rd of the game. The last part of the game is where the room truly shined, in my opinion, as it had the most engaging puzzles to do. The set was really nice throughout all spaces.
