234 escape rooms
Rating: 3/5 - Decent for a small town room, felt very old-school 2015 era I enjoyed it, especially considering it's the only company in the area. There are no major issues but it's a pretty basic room that doesn't do anything innovative. The set looked good enough and it was more than a single room. It is mostly padlock/lockbox/keypad based, with only a couple electronic triggers (very Gen 1). There were a decent variety of puzzles, enthusiasts should have no problems solving them, it might be on the difficult side for beginners. Our main hold ups were due to search fails. My only nitpick is that some of the puzzles were ambiguous, there is a bit too much information provided before you need it and sometimes it's hard to tell when you have enough information or if you need to keep searching. Though the GM was friendly and helpful when needed. I liked The Cabin a bit more than Corrupt & Convicted but both rooms are decent. The Cabin set felt more immersive since it was decorated from floor to ceiling and incorporated things from Columbus, the room felt newer. However, it's a tad more difficult and I think I enjoyed the puzzles a bit more in Corrupt & Convicted. We played as a team of 3 enthusiasts and it felt right, I would not do more than 4 players. There are only 3 hints allowed but the GM may provide additional nudges.
