39 escape rooms
Overall an okay room, but would not recommend. The main room is NOT friendly to photosensitive people, but the other rooms are okay. Some puzzles feel redundant. Staff makes the experience feel purely transactional, not chatting before or after. GM didn't feel attentive to our group.
Atmosphere
Photosensitive people beware! The main room of the game had a white and black checkerboard pattern on the walls (and multiple mirrors all around) that was very photosensitive-unfriendly. Thankfully the other rooms didn't have this patterning, but it made it very difficult to participate in puzzles in the main room. The other rooms were pretty and well-designed, though.
Customer service
Most places I've visited, the GMs and other staff have been very friendly and willing to chat. Not here. The staff weren't rude, but they weren't friendly. It seemed very much focused on how quickly they could get us in and out. No debrief on the experience or after-game chat. The GM also felt inattentive during our game.
Difficulty
Easy
I'd say the room was a bit too easy. There were some very intuitive puzzles we solved and then we ended up wasting time on other puzzles that just gave hints for puzzles we already solved...The GM didn't seem to notice this and didn't let us know we were good to move on until we asked for a hint. Made it feel like it was designed for a very inexperienced group. There was also an audio cue that only triggered once, and it would've been nice for it to trigger every time the prerequisites were met.
Scary
Not scary
Live actors
No
No live actors, but at one point the GM had to come into the room to deliver us a hint. We had to walk him through what we'd already solved. This both severely broke immersion and made the GM feel inattentive since he didn't know what we'd already solved.
