151 escape rooms
This room was a last minute addition to our Florida escape room trip but I'm so glad that we added it to the itinerary! I wasn't expecting this game to be as scary as it was and as a horror fan, I loved it. I would highly recommend this room but I will warn you that it is less "tech-y" than many of the other rooms in Orlando.
Gameplay
The puzzles were fun but there were times when the non-linear nature of this room was a bit more confusing than anything else. It wasn't always clear which puzzle should be tackled next. There were also a couple of puzzles that felt as if they could use some retouching (specifically one where our team had to hold pieces in place because they wouldn't stay on their own).
Atmosphere
The atmosphere wasn't super elaborate or high tech but it was effective at conveying the location and driving the story forward.
Customer service
The GM was welcoming and helpful throughout the room. I think that my biggest gripe with this escape room was the fact that they still use walkie talkies to give hints...we kept having to ask for hints to be repeated because we couldn't hear them. The GM was great but the hint system could stand an update.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
I've done games with similar themes before but this game was more interactive.
Story
The story was relatively generic but the design and interactive nature of the game make this room stand apart from the others.
Difficulty
Hard
Our team found this game to be pretty challenging specifically because we didn't always know which puzzle to work on next. It was also pretty easy to miss important details in this room which tripped us up a couple of times.
Game tech
Mechanical
The majority of this room is comprised of physical locks.
Ideal number of players
4
The rooms in this game are pretty small. I wouldn't recommend more than 4 people for this game.
Scary
Scary
I didn't know how interactive this game was when we signed up. I expected this room to be spooky but not scary and it was more intense than I had anticipated. It's not the scariest room that I've ever done but it's probably in the top 10 scariest that I've done. It was a nice surprise because I love scary rooms!
Minimum age
14
This room would have scared me when I was younger and I probably wouldn't have been able to focus on any of the puzzles. I would probably recommend 16+ but maybe younger if the person really likes horror and isn't bothered by haunted houses.
Was anything broken?
No
Nothing was completely broken but some aspects of this room could certainly stand to be retouched.
Live actors
Yes
There is no touching/chasing but there are a couple of jump scares.
Physically active
Somewhat
All members of the party must be able to crawl into one of the rooms.
Accessibility
I would not recommend this room for players with mobility restrictions due to the small spaces and the crawling that is required of all players. Some puzzles utilize color and some puzzles utilize sound.
Easy to find location
Yes
Parking
Easy
