This was definitely one of the best escape rooms that I’ve ever done! The game was big with multiple large rooms full of thoughtful puzzles, and it was super immersive. The puzzles were challenging, but not too difficult that you got completely stuck. The staff at the Locked Inn is also so kind and helpful, and will give you a clue if you end up getting stumped.
Without spoilers, there’s a unique plot line that’s part of this room that was such a fun twist. The room itself is also well decorated and smelled like christmas, making it much more immersive. It was both christmassy and spooky, and I had so much fun doing this game with my family.
The game flowed well and had lots for everyone to do
One of the best game atmospheres ever! There were props, smells, and decorations, but nothing felt cheap. It was very immersive.
The Locked Inn owner and game masters are all so kind and welcoming.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
The theme alone was so unique, and there was a plot line in the game that I’ve never seen done before.
Great set up and plot. There’s definitely a clear storyline.
I got stuck a few times, but the staff did a nice job of guiding us through the game.
There were definitely some cool high tech effects in game that were surprising!
Ideal number of players
I think 4 was a great number if you’ve played a couple rooms before
Overall it’s not scary, but there is one part where I got a little scared. There is a moment where you need to go into a pitch black room.
Minimum age
The game theme is kid friendly, and there are a good amount of puzzles that would be fun for younger people. If you’re old enough to watch the “pumpkin king” movie, then this room is probably playable for you. Some puzzles are a bit challenging though, so maybe 12 or 13 is my recommendation.
Everything worked well, especially for being one of the earlier groups to play. I didn’t notice anything broken or malfunctioning.
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
It’s easily accessible for people with mobility aids, but there was some bending over. There were maybe two puzzles that were color coded, and one that involved hearing. Overall though, I think this experience would be enjoyable and playable for people with impairment issues.
Easy to find, and easy to park
