5 escape rooms

I've only done a handful of escape rooms, but Timeliner is the best one so far! I loved how it truly felt like we traveled through time to different periods. Every moment of the experience was well thought out and every puzzle fit perfectly into the theme of the era we were in. Extremely polished, very technical, and with a wide variety of puzzles to figure out. This room is perfect for anyone!

Gameplay

Every puzzle was fun and fit into the period that we had traveled to. Nothing felt like it was forced into the game, nor did we feel like we were spending too long on a single puzzle.

Atmosphere

By far the best atmosphere I've experienced so far. The concept and reality of traveling through multiple periods made for an exciting time. Extremely immersive, and it felt like we were really there.

Customer service

Our Game Master, Nick, was awesome. He asked if we wanted a hint, rather than outright giving it to us when he noticed us struggling to figure out a puzzle. His hints were helpful in pointing us in the right directions, without giving away the solution.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

It truly felt like we traveled between periods in time via a train. The "windows" let you see outside of the train, and we even stepped out of the train twice!

Story

The plot was simple but was perfect in setting up the process of the room.

High tech

Very high tech, with screens that made it feel so immersive.

While this room was great with two players, it has enough space with things to do, that I think four or six would be great as well.

The theme is great for kids and adults. Kids may not be able to see or reach everything though.

Great room! This was high-tech, immersive, and incredibly well done from start to finish. Unlike some rooms that only have a few unique moments, almost every puzzle in this room felt creative and original. They were so specific to the game that I do not think other rooms could copy them even if they tried. The high-tech aspect also really stood out and made the whole experience feel seamless and exciting. It was refreshing to find a room that sets itself apart from most other escape room businesses. Everyone in our group had a great time, and we would love to see more rooms like this.

The room was good, which we’ve come to expect from Escape Game, but the staff were particularly wonderful.

We love the set designs at the great escape! This room was really hard to get going but flows pretty easy after that. Deff was overthinking at some points so don’t lose common sense! A great mix of old school lock and key plus fun technical stuff. Love!

Loved this room. Has a lot of technical stuff but everything flowed really well together. Two people escaped with only 3 clues. Charlotte was a great game guide.

Great room with a unique premise that stands out from most games. Very good mix of puzzles and there were a lot of them. Some we got right away, and some took a bit of a leap of logic, but still very clever. Even though there are some old school mechanical locks and puzzles, there are some great use of technology in the room. Definitely recommend.

Gameplay
Atmosphere

Theming was very good, although a bit on the tougue-in-cheek side, given the cheesy premise of the game.

Customer service

Was VERY impressed with the staff; some of the best customer service I have received from an escape room. We had a last minute request for a switch up that they were under no obligation to oblige, yet they were able to accommodate, all with smiles on their faces. At the end, they offered to take pics of us, and took the time to answer questions on the game we had. Highly recommend this location.

Particularly interesting or different

Story

Story was a bit choppy as you jumped between the different time periods--some areas felt a bit disconnected from the overall game, but not too big of a distraction.

Difficulty

Medium

Game tech

High tech

It was a good mix of tech and mechanical, leaning slightly to the tech side. Only a few conventional lock puzzles.

Ideal number of players

4

We played with 2 and escaped, but it was tight on time--there are a lot of puzzles. Think a group of 4 would be able to better mix and manage their time.

Minimum age

Would be a really good room for a family

Was anything broken?

No

We did have one technical glitch, but the game master saw it right away and coached us through fixing it so no game time lost.

Parking

Park in the Waterview garage behind the shopping area. Take the elevator to the ground level, store is right on the street. Only issue was a lot of spots marked for residents, so had to go up a few levels to find a spot.
