It had been a while since I last visited Scram Penrith (having done The Sorcerer’s Secret), but this time we took on Plagued. Our Gamesmaster Jess (who also designed the room!) welcomed us with a friendly smile, and that warmth carried through the whole experience. The set design is stunning — everything fits perfectly in theme, creating a suspenseful atmosphere where you’re constantly expecting something to jump out (and maybe it does…). The dim lighting adds tension without ever feeling frustrating, and there’s no shortage of puzzles and tasks to keep everyone busy. Difficulty-wise, I’d call it a Hard-Medium. With three of us, we just scraped through with seconds left on the clock, using teamwork and a couple of clutch solves to make it out. The finish was something special, and we left buzzing.

A great room and overall great experience with the GM Jess. Lots of puzzles and the sequential nature made it clear the path you had to take to escape. Great atmosphere and decorations throughout. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.
The flow of the room was great. It is very sequential and logical as to which puzzle is next and what you need to solve it.
Set design is great. Very immersive.
Jess was great. Provided a great introduction to the room and was great at providing the right hint at the right time to keep us moving along.

Great atmosphere and themes. I’d recommend for an older audience even though there are no jump scares the rooms are dimly lit and dark at times which could be frightening for younger players.

Easily the best immersive room design I’ve seen and puzzles are unique with brand new ideas I haven’t encountered before. Loved every second of this spooky theme!
