A long time ago, Freya, the goddess of love and war, did something very human - she fell in love with a mortal - a young warrior named Regnar. Their love was pure, but forbidden. As punishment, Freya was cursed to go blind whenever close to Regnar and thus never be able to see her true love ever again. Heartbroken, she sat down by an old fountain deep inside a forest, and cried a thousand tears. Feeling her sorrow, a dwarf blacksmith decided to help. He took a strain of Freya's golden hair and forged it into a magical ring. A ring, powerful enough to break all curses in it’s presence. They decided to hide the ring in the fountain and so this became the one secret place where the two lovers could be together. But the ring was taken.. Now, by a twist of faith perhaps You came across it, and for better or worse, it is now your job restore it to the fountain before it looses it’s magical powers, so that Regnar and Freya may be together once again.

The good: The puzzles were very creative and the decorations were done well. The bad: Some of the puzzles had kinks that need to be worked out. One in particular had an engineering flaw making it so that you could have the correct orientation yet the puzzle would not acknowledge it. That same puzzle had 2 variables to match up 3 different times, but didn’t give an indication which variable was 1st and which was 2nd, making it hard to tell if you figured out the clue or not. Finally, the last puzzle was very simple yet unintuitive, giving a very anticlimactic ending. When things started happening, we all had this feeling of “oh boy, here it comes… the final one!” only to find out that it was over. All 6 of us left feeling different aspects of disappointed. The common thread was that we all felt like too much mental energy was spent on the poor transition pieces and repeated efforts due to puzzle design flaws rather than spending that mental energy on the actual puzzles themselves. Hopefully Mystic can re-think some of these elements and bring this room up to the standard of their other rooms.

Great room. No locks or combos. Nice linear flow with challenging puzzles that really tested us. Family of 3 escaped in 58 min with two hints. The game master, Anna, did not offer any unsolicited hints but clearly tracked the game well as she was on top of it as soon as we needed a hint and offered just the right amount of hint w/o giving it away so that we still had to puzzle things out. We had somewhere to be after but in other circumstances would have taken advantage of the very nice bar and lounge area.

This is a beautiful, imaginative and fun experience that improves upon Mystic Escape Room's already lofty standards established at the Littleton location. The Celtic set was beautiful and often surprising. The puzzles were unique. Not only were there no locks, I can think of only one puzzle that incorporated numbers at all. And yet the puzzles are incredibly satisfying. Easily one of my top 5 room in Denver and a must for anyone visiting the area. My one complaint was that one of the "rules" given before the game spoiled a very cool reveal. Can we not have any nice things? Bonus tip! The cocktails in the lounge are excellent. I highly recommend having a drink when you're done with the game.

Street parking. There were lots of free spots in the neighborhood towards Kalamath. I just pray you don't make a reservation during one of the First Fridays.

It was a fantastic room where all the puzzles flowed well. We only got 2 hints and it was for stuff that felt really silly to miss. Some of the puzzles were difficult but it wasn't frustrating, everything made sense. It was still in early access so we were informed of potential future puzzles and gave feedback. Due to this I am very tempted to return in a year or so to see. Also the business has a bar as well and the drinks were delicious! One of our party even ordered a mocktail which was just as unique and delicious as one of our alcoholic drinks. Food was an amazing food truck right outside.
