The year is 1990-something. You are in the bedroom of Kat and Bianca. The girls used to be close growing up, but have drifted apart in their teenage years. Tonight there is a big party. Everyone is going to be there. It was rumored in school that Bianca's crush was going to be there and Kat's band, Something-something Explosion, was going to play at the party. However, earlier that day, the girls had a huge fight. Their parents sent both of them to their room and locked them in. Now, you need to help them make up and find a way to escape their room to get to the party. (Knowledge of the 90s is not necessary to complete the room)

The room was not very polished, but for a 90s nostalgia theme, it actually fit well. There were plenty of puzzles for four players to work on. None of the puzzles felt especially unique, but they were straightforward and not overly difficult. Overall, I enjoyed the room.

Skip this one! Bad game master. And can hear all the rooms. Room was dated.
Too chaotic. Not cohesive or well thought of.
Meh / the theme was great but you could hear all other rooms. The game master was bad and not with it. He was on something. And slow clues. He didn’t know what part of the game we were on. We had to explain our progress so far.

Excellent room, with a pretty smooth puzzle flow and a really great theme! Great setup and how accurate it felt to the 90s; this came off as a room made with a lot of love. Would rec for smaller groups (we did it as a pair and it was pretty comfortable). This room feels old school but in a good way, and is well worth it if you're in the area.

This is version 2.0 of the room, with all new puzzles courtesy of our GM Katie. Very fun, and packed with cultural references from the 1990s. A low-budget buildout means that set snobs will likely be disappointed…but it’s all about the vibe. Difficulty was on the easier side (we were a duo, and we finished with 8 minutes left, no hints), so I’d recommend a group of 2 or 3 enthusiasts. Technically, no prior knowledge of the 90’s is required to complete the room, but it will definitely help. Even without that knowledge, cluing was easy to understand through the usage of matching colors and symbols. This is my favorite room at The Quandary, check it out and then grab a drink next door at the L&L Tavern, which was once frequented by both Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy

Cool theme but very worn out and several broken pieces and mechanics. Game master wasn’t apologetic when we mentioned the broken pieces, just a shrug with ‘yeah sometimes that doesn’t work’. Game is not linear so when coming across something broken it may not be obvious and game masters don’t keep an eye out via video. Found similar feedback in a review over a year ago so clearly they don’t care to fix it! Skip this one.

This room had some of most unique puzzles I’ve seen and was very nostalgic. Decor wise it was more of a hand-made feel than some of the more immersive rooms I’ve been in.

Really fun 90s theming. Lots of locks in this room. Enjoyed the period set pieces like gaming console and computer to get hints. A lot of pop culture design elements for us parents. Great independent room. Lovely game master.
