Such a fun room! Solid set design! The space is massive and I liked the way puzzles flowed from room to room. And I loved the fun ending! There were a couple unique elements I haven’t seen anywhere else.

In 1923, as the Hollywoodland sign was raised over the hills of Hollywood, the San Fernando Valley was introduced to the Von Wolfhaussen Manor, built hidden amongst the valley’s orange groves, to house and treat patients with various mental illnesses. Dr. Frederick Von Wolfhaussen, a pioneer of mental illness treatment techniques, founded and ran the manor until its closing in 1971. In 2012, Dr. Frederick Von Wolfhaussen, III, the grandson of the late founding father of the manor, reopened the institution’s doors. Through the correspondence of various governmental grants, Dr. Von Wolfhaussen, III resumed treating mentally ill patients with the implementation of the latest and most modern of therapies. Today, the institution has gained a reputation of having the highest cure rates of mental disorders in the world, and there are theories that Dr. Von Wolfhaussen, III, has implemented some questionable techniques in his treatment protocols. Through recent statistical success rates, the institution has become a topic of controversy and has caught the attention of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In cooperation with the FBI, the HHS has organized a group of handpicked individuals to examine and audit Dr. Von Wolfhaussen’s institutional practices & techniques. Respectively, this mission has been named Project: 5150.

I rate this escape experience a 3/5 (ck out my bio for rating system). I give each category 1 point. The set/theme was ok. Psych-type themes which are often set in some type of lab aren't my favorite. There's simply not much creativity to be had. That being said, the surprise element at the end really elevated it. Just not enough to compensate for the ho-hum of the rest of the room, including the puzzles. I enjoyed it enough but was still a pretty average escape.

Very cool set, puzzles, storyline, and effects in this asylum game!! I don't think I'll be playing any other games with this theme since this location set the bar so high for it :)

The soundscape made one of the members of our party feel pretty anxious and it is a creepier experience than advertised, but I enjoyed the puzzles. Wish there were more to the room, there wasn’t a lot going on and we got out in 37 minutes which never makes me feel like we got a full room experience.

We had such a great time at Project 5150! The room was creative, intense, and really well put together. The puzzles kept us on our toes but flowed so smoothly that we managed to escape in just 27 minutes! The staff was super friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and challenging escape room experience.

Cool room and would have been one of my top rooms ever but I had just played their other room Atlantis. LOL Still amazing, this company is awesome. A bit smaller than I would have liked, but that's just because it was so fun.

This room was amazing , the feeling of eerie definitely immersed you into the storyline. Hypnotic definitely put a few new good twist on the classic asylum room. Will definitely go back for their other rooms. The game masters have all been very friendly and helpful
