Merlin's Vision

There were parts of the game that weren’t working properly. Definitely eroded our enjoyment.

Was wavering between a thumbs up and down, but unfortunately there was one puzzle in this game that took a solid 20 minutes to complete due to a completely awful answer design. It’s not even clued that this is the case. The rest of the game is perfectly average, with the puzzles in the early half being better than the ones in the later half. They are remastering this game, but in its current state I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Out of all 6 rooms, this was by far the most challenging for us. No locks, minimal hands on puzzling. The hints are all in the atmosphere.

A decent room that our two young nieces enjoyed. A couple of the puzzles could have used some better cluing but overall we made it through pretty well. Our group of six was probably too many, a smaller team of 3-4 would have been just right. Looking forward to playing more rooms at this location!

Staff was amazing and definitely tried to help. Sadly, don’t love the story. Was excited to do a Merlin theme and it felt like Merlin and the story was shoe horned in. A lot of puzzles didn’t feel satisfying to complete.

I would recommend this room to others, especially for its unique gameplay. The props and atmosphere are top notch and our GM was very friendly and helpful. The uniqueness comes in with the fact that there are no locks in the room at all. We found that unlike a lock puzzle, which intuitively lets you in to whatever was locked, part of the challenge here is figuring out what the next puzzle is - and it's also not necessarily obvious what changed when the puzzle was solved. Fortunately our GM was very helpful when we were lost and was good about interacting with us in humorous ways. There are a few things in this room that we have never seen before; we very much enjoyed the magic and look forward to trying our next room here. Would recommend at least one non-colorblind person in the group.

Overall a fun theme. Wish there were more puzzles.

This was a fun room that I just wish lasted a little longer towards the end. There were a couple very unique puzzles.

They did a great job with the “Magic” in this room!
