Board game and video game theme was on point. Game lovers this is for you. There were some very clever uses of medium that’s all I’m going say. Loved this one. Puzzles weren’t too hard but there were plenty to keep you busy. Can divide and conquer and there’s something for everyone so bring a group

We did this with only two with no clues but we do a lot of rooms. This could be hard for those who are new to escape rooms, but it’s really fun! Team of 4 recommended. It requires a lot of communication between teammates which ads to the experience once you figure out what to do.

GREAT BEGINNER ROOM Pros: - Super cute and festive set - Charming and accessible, great for families and people who have done <5 escape rooms - Perfectly nonlinear enough Cons: - Answers to puzzles can be too easily guessed - No spectacular aspects (moving parts in room, ambiance, live actor) 8/10 (solid, recommendable but not a must play)

Overall, a really fun room. It was a traditional spy theme with a unique take of being on location in a market. There were some twists along the way. Game flow was very linear. There were no times where we were wondering what we were missing or what the next steps were as it flowed very well. Immersion was great.the game was a little easier than anticipated based on reviews. We were comfortably able to finish it with 10 minutes left and two people, though we did get lucky in one of our decisions.

This room starts separated. And communication is scarce to start. You really have to work this game with people who communicate well with each other. There are a total of 2 rooms 3 if you count the separate start rooms. One room is very simple and quick and then you can’t move on without the help of the other rooms. The other room definitely has a lot more to start. It was nice to try this room.

This escape room was very solid and would highly recommend! Definitely one of my favorites at Clue Carré. We played as a team of 2, and it was very interactive and engaging. What I liked most about this escape room was the set design, the immersion, and the storyline. Everything flowed really well and made sense. There weren’t any red herrings, and it was a very solid game play. I enjoyed the New Orleans theming (voodoo, offerings, decoder, etc) especially! Overall, this was one of the best escape rooms at Clue Carré. It was a puzzle heavy room, but a great mixture of lock-and-key, high tech, and uniqueness to it.

My husband and I loved this room. I appreciate the theme since it's relevant to the area. We were also able to work through the room with limited assistance because the puzzles were logical, and the room flowed well. We really enjoyed our time at Clue Carré, and we wish there were more locations with rooms this solid. We enjoyed the House of Curiosities and the Cemetery rooms more, but this room is still be enjoyable. A note for other enthusiasts: the space isn't huge, and there are a lot of locks and keys and combos. If this isn't your style, then you may be disappointed.

This game is 3 parts - with part 1 being the main objective with 2&3 as add ons, as time permits. With a team of 2, we escaped part 1 (the murderer) in 32:11. We were able to do parts 2&3 (the why & the how) in another 10 minutes and 17.5 minutes, respectively. It was SO much fun! Great theme, great puzzles, lots of fun surprises, and adds to the overall theme of the mansion. The best room in New Orleans!

The strength of this room lies in the story, which you play through thematically-incorporated puzzles. They do a lot with a small space, and our GM created an immersive experience with his character. Really enjoyed it both the room and the overall experience.

I enjoyed this! Definitely took a learning curve to gain confidence walking around in the dark, but the puzzles were clever for the pitch black situation. The ending was a little anti-climatic, but overall super fun!

How Do Escape Rooms Work?

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
