“We were blown away by this room. It’s immersive and atmospheric from beginning to end. Props, lighting, sounds, and materials were well chosen and really elevated the feeling of this experience. The room has some cool surprises, and is a little more physically demanding than it initially lets on, which I always find exciting, but can also be treacherous if you are unsteady and in a hurry. I love dark, spooky forest and cabin themes, and this room delivers all that and then some. We did need some hints, as some puzzles require slight leaps in reasoning (the kind of reasoning that would normally be helped along via a written letter or riddle, but instead we eventually had to ask for a hint), but this wasn’t a problem. Some puzzles were somewhat obscurely relevant to the story, but nothing pulled us out of the mysterious mood and dark rustic theme, so that’s a big plus. Overall a very atmospheric, immersive, surprising, and challenging fun room. I appreciate everything that went into making it and I really recommend it!”

“"Bros for Life" was epic, bros! 🤘 Raiding the school, causing chaos, and just disrupting the system was totally rad! The theming? Dude, it was next level – seriously, one of the sickest sets I've ever seen in an escape room. 🏫🔥 The puzzles were a wicked mix of high-tech brain busters and cool mechanical stuff. 🧠🔩 And the storyline? Absolute blast, man! Plus, shoutout to the employees who totally nailed the bro vibe. 🙌 You gotta check this one out, bro! #BrosForLife 🎉👊”

“Really cool and different experience. You are “buried” so if you’re claustrophobic I definitely don’t recommend. Also if you’re afraid of the dark as you’re in pitch black until you find a light source. This is a 2 person game and you will need good communication skills. Definitely a cool and different experience.”

“I was so fortunate to play both sides of surge today and it was a blast!! Intense never fails on puzzles and as a competitive room this was one of my favs at the company! The room’s play style was extremely unique and I genuinely enjoyed every second that I was in there. Heads up if you’ve already played surge, play it again on the other side…it will not be the same ;)”

“I’ve done right around 50 escape rooms and this is my favorite one. If you get scared easily don’t do this one. Very good puzzles with a very easy flow to it. I highly suggest playing this game if you want to get scared and don’t have a problem with running!”

“Super well themed, very cool room. Lots to do, some very unique aspects to it, some surprises, and plenty of puzzles and challenges that made this one of the more difficult rooms out there. This is absolutely a must see :)!”

“Maybe my favorite room here, but honestly it’s a toss up because they are all really good. Megan and Cameron were great hosts for our trip here. You can tell they are also players and respected us perfectly to give us an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Horror Circus started off with a small “gimmie-puzzle” which kick started the adventure. Lots of going back and forth between all the rooms to complete each of the puzzles. You won’t need “brawn” the way you think, but you’ll need it.”

“What a cool game! The set was immersive and there were some really unique puzzles I haven’t seen before. Several puzzles are super communication based, so you definitely need to be in tune with your team — whether that’s just one other person or a bigger group. I liked this game better than Top Secret.”

“This was my first horror-themed escape room, and it was quite an experience! It was incredibly fun, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves horror and can handle the scares. My friends and I still talk about this room to this day.”

A beautiful city, perched alongside its namesake bay, Tampa is a vibrant mix of old and new. Though its perhaps best known for its sports teams and wide ranging entertainment options, Tampa is perfect for a visit exactly because it isn’t meant just for tourists. In fact, some of the best attractions in the city are the favorites of its locals, and are sure to not disappoint. The Florida Aquarium is one of the largest in the country, and offers its visitors a unique coral reef exploration experience. Ybor City, a city within the city is a must visit for anyone hoping to experience Florida’s cultural heritage. And if you plan to travel with kids, then consider working the Glazer Children’s Museum into your visit. Not convinced? Well Tampa also happens to be home to some of the very best escape rooms in not just Florida, but the entire US. Whatever your interest, you are sure to have an amazing time during your next visit.
While Orlando remains the undisputed king of Florida escape rooms, Tampa is in its own right a true escape room destination. Since the first escape rooms arrived in the city, Tampa has crafted some of the very best immersive puzzle experiences in the southeast. In fact, the Tampa Bay area is home to over 20 different escape room venues, and that number is sure to rise in the future. Servants of Sleight at The Exit Games FL is an award-winning room that remains a strong favorite among even the most experienced of players. Scorched at Outerlife Studios goes all-in on its theme, transporting players out of the world. Game Over Tampa’s Money Heist is a deep experience that provides a thrill throughout its entire story. With nearly 100 escape games in the entire area, you’re sure to find the perfect game for you and your group.
Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
