Overall this room is my third favorite out of the dreamscape rooms at this location. That being said, it is still and excellent room with fun reveals, It just felt like it fell a little flat at the end. I wish the ending was a bit more dramatic and that some of the cinematic moments didn’t go on for quite so long. Other than that small critique I had a blast and it did feel like a whimsical story. If you liked Yuletide Magic at their downtown location I would liken it that— a cozy, delightful journey through a child’s imagination.

Overall Time Machine was our favorite room we have played at Countdown! It’s a simple premise but checks all the boxes for puzzle lovers. Very fun to progress through different decades. We had so much fun that we ended up playing almost all of their games. A special shoutout to Cally especially, for being a wonderful guide and hyping us up. My only complaint with countdown is that GMs run two rooms at a time which can lead to a little delay when clues are concerned and feel disjointed when one person intros, another person gives clues, and another person outros.

As a seasoned escape room enthusiast it is rare for me to find a room that blows me away. The Great Room Escape’s Spellbound did more than deliver. The set design and puzzle flow was expertly done with interesting twists and turns around every corner and entire set pieces moving. Nick, Solomon, and Flip, our game hosts were incredibly kind and friendly and we even got a chance to nerd out with them about escape room design after our game. I will definitely be back to try out the Zombie room.
