First and foremost, if you’re looking for an immersive adventure, this is not it. This is a game. This is one of the most fun, exhilarating games I’ve played in my entire life. It’s frantic but not overwhelming. It’s absolutely perfectly crafted. It truly does feel like playing Overcooked in real life. We did it with 2 people, which is doable, but I’d get at least one or two more. There’s so much to see and do and let’s be honest, you probably won’t see everything. And you’ll learn that that’s okay. This is a work of escape room art. You won’t regret playing this.

This game is just beautiful. It’s intimate in the best way possible. It’s a quiet, extremely well designed game and it’s incredible. You don’t need to be well versed in the theater world to play this game, but you’ll get more out of it if you have a background in it, because this game is a love letter to drama and theater. This is a fantastic game. Play it.

What I’m learning is just… don’t make 15 minute escape rooms.

Haunted house
Best haunt at Screeemfest all year. The first half is already elaborate and well themed, but then the second half arrives and it just gets better. Scares are unique and well distributed.

This game is weird to me. Maybe it was different when it was Escape Room Live and not The Escape Game, but it was like… really small. Both in terms of square footage and in terms of gameplay. It looks really good, but it’s three really cramped rooms with maybe 2 to 3 puzzles per room. It’s not a big game in the slightest and it’s just a little odd. Still a fun game though.

First things first, the standout element of this game is its physicality and use of space. You think it’s over and it just keeps going. There’s also a TON of puzzles in this game. You will not win if you don’t divide and conquer. Although a lot of the set is very clearly foam or wood, the rest of the experience completely makes up for it. This game is a ton of fun and anyone with enough people should try it.

This game carries a very distinct vibe. It looks lovely, and plays out nicely. But this game isn’t really about the story. It’s about solving cool puzzles in a great looking environment. For almost the whole time, the game just takes a step back and quietly lets you solve at your own pace. It’s quite a nice experience. But oh my gosh, when you figure out something in this game, it feels SO good, like way better than normal. Although I greatly prefer Witching Hour, Hot Dog Heist, and Institute, I liked this game quite a bit. Fun play.

I love this room equally to Cheesie’s for completely different reasons. The whole concept and vibe of this game is both creative, fun, and hilarious. Again, the character at the core of this game is fantastic, and the puzzles and design are all top notch. This is truly a premium escape room company.

One of the best vibes I’ve ever gotten from a game. Cheesie is absolutely the centerpiece of the experience, and is one of the best things I’ve experienced in escape room history. People are saying it’s like Chuck E. Cheese, but I very much got Five Nights At Freddy’s vibes from it. Some of the puzzles were more search based, which weren’t super fun, but the rest of the experience was fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone near Chicago.

Another pretty good game by Escape Room 60, the first in their new location. I had a pretty fun time in this one. It’s hard to speak on how it compares to their offerings at other locations, but I’d say it’s pretty much what you’d expect from this company. The room looks really good for the most part, and the puzzles are definitely fun, even if not super connected to the story. It’s a fun time in a traditional-ish escape room.
