Brilliant puzzles mixed with theatrical moments, all while telling a story within a story that keeps building tension until the final seconds. Nothing there is basic or traditional. It's been over three years since I played it, and I still can't get it out of my head. Too bad this experience isn't avalieble in english :(
The Amsterdam CatacombsLogic Locks - The Amsterdam CatacombsEscape roomIRLI played this room with the wrong expectations and, unfortunately, I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed. So I’d like to set the right expectations for future players going into this experience. It is a unique concept, and I can appreciate it for what it is. Light spoilers ahead: The gameplay area is actually very small, one of the smallest rooms I’ve done in the Netherlands. A large portion of the experience is dedicated to onboarding and story-building, which is done very well, but the buildup isn’t quite balanced with the payoff. I also expected it to be a scary experience with actors, which definitely made me nervous since I’m usually the scared one in the group. Don’t get me wrong the actors do a fantastic job, but the scary moments can be counted on one hand. Tho there is a solo moment for one of the players that I personally found quite uncomfortable. Even though it wasn’t the intense horror escape room I was expecting, I was still able to appreciate the unique gameplay concept, strong acting, and cool location.

The spaces are quite small, so we were running out of oxygen quickly - it got chaotic, and some players often had nothing to do. It really felt like too many chefs in the kitchen. To be fair, that was entirely our fault, since the booking site did warn us that the game is designed for 4-5 players max. I think 4 would be the perfect number. Otherwise, it’s a very well-made room with fun puzzles! The story was a bit harder to follow, though.

Nezvěstná [Missing]Ztraceni v doměEscape roomIRLAnother great room from Ztraceni v domě that exceeded my expectations. The location and set design is very authentic, creating a genuinely spooky atmosphere. The gameplay is more traditional, focusing on classic mechanics. I highly recommend this room — but make sure to also play Isolation, their other game, because that one truly blew my mind.
The MansionOperation ExitEscape roomIRLThis is more of a traditional take on an escape room — don’t expect crazy sets or high-tech puzzles with effects. It’s more focused on the puzzles than on storytelling. That said, the room is nicely done and everything makes sense. A perfect game for beginners.
Galactic PioneersMindMaze Galactic Pioneers & NautilusEscape roomIRLWith this room, I discovered that there is such a thing as too technically advanced for me, at least. The heavy use of screens and computers made it feel more like an online escape game than a physical one. It was also way too difficult for just two players, which turned out to be a mistake on our part. Overall, it was a pretty unsatisfying experience, especially since we were expecting a world-class escape room. I can see how it might work for others, just not for me and my friend.
The KryptaKrypta - úniková hra BrnoEscape roomIRLA very nice room with fun puzzles. The gameplay isn’t the traditional linear style, but that didn’t bother me at all. I appreciated the change from other mostly linear rooms, there were always multiple things to work on, it ensures that even in larger groups, everyone always has something to do.
Professor Kunst [prev. Steampunk Laboratory]Steampunk Laboratory BrnoEscape roomIRLA really well-thought-out game set in a nice environment with a solid story. The puzzles were diverse, unique, and satisfying, and everything came together beautifully in the end. You can tell that someone poured their heart into this room.
Bunkr 13 [Bunker 13]Atomiq GamesEscape roomIRLIf you want to remind yourself what it felt like to play an escape room ten years ago, this is a great place to do it. Don’t expect anything wild - it’s a classic escape room, nothing more, nothing less. That said, all the puzzles made sense, If you’ve done a few rooms before, you’ll probably recognize some of them right away.
