The HangoverEscape City BuffaloEscape roomIRLWe had been looking forward to this room for a while when we planned the trip to Buffalo. This room tried to do a lot with limited space to make you feel like you were in the hotel from The Hangover. They most nailed it and it’s a very adult room so go with friends that have a great sense of humor.
Allister’s SecretMaine Escape GamesEscape roomIRLAnother great room for Maine Escape Games. They continue to be the premiere escape room venue in Maine and this room does wonders and diverts expectations quite a few times. The theme was a lot of fun for everyone and there is plenty to do. Would recommend for anyone.
Le Dernier Arrêt - V2 [The Final Stop - V2]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThis room was a last minute addition but was one of the all time favorites. The performance by the staff was phenomenal and everything with the story fit and totally made you feel in the moment.
Over The FallsEscape City BuffaloEscape roomIRLI wasn’t sure what to expect with this escape room but the immersion they are able to achieve is pretty impressive. The puzzles were fun but not overly complex. Most of them fit the theme of the room and the design of everything within this location, including flowing water, was easily the best part.
Mysteries of the MenagerieHoodwinked! Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLJust completed this room today and it was a blast from start to finish. To start the owners who run it were great and funny. Then when the room started the decor puts you in the circus and everything you did in the room felt like an accomplishment. Also every puzzle made sense which is not something every escape room can say. Most just throw in puzzle for a puzzle sake but this was all methodically looked at and it showed for the level of the puzzles and flow of the room. A big step up for Hoodwinked! And a great room for everyone to play.

So many others just throw out a run of the mill escape room but not Hoodwinked! who decided it was their mission to put forth an authentic escape room experience. This is one of the few rooms where I did not see the twist coming and it just added a whole new element to the room and was a blast. Straight forward puzzles without the need for any red herrings and the whole room just made sense. Super excited to try their new room.
Western WhistleKey To EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is a pretty good room. You most exactly feel like you're in the wild west but it does it best to immerse you as soon as you enter the room. The regular puzzles with the mechanical puzzles were a lot of fun and they serve the room well. A couple puzzles did not quite make sense for the room but I believe when we talked to the owners they were in the process of fixing those but that was back in 2019. Still a solid room most will enjoy.
The IncidentKey To EscapeEscape roomIRLThis is a really really good room. Offering a 60-minute experience or a 90-minute is a nice twist depending on everyone's comfort with an escape room. This room starts very regular before moving into the technology world of escape room and it makes the whole experience that much more fun to have that transition. There was only one puzzle that stood out as being not the best but everything else about this room and puzzles and logical thinking was great and easily their best room.
