The Morrison Game FactoryPostCuriousEscape roomTabletopBeautifully crafted and immersive, this is a game with a heartfelt story and some very clever puzzles. It does require some patience and quite a bit of reading and online interaction, but the payoff can be worthwhile if the narrative resonates.
Box One By Neil Patrick HarrisTheory11 OnlineEscape roomTabletopHeard a lot of good things about Box One and it did not disappoint! Given the affordable price, the production value was impressive, especially for a game that can be reset and replayed by others. Lots of nice little surprises, twists and turns, plus clever integration of technology. Wish it were longer and a more challenging, but still highly recommend it.
Never HouseDarkParkEscape roomTabletopOne of the best tabletop escape games we’ve played to date. So many cool concepts, props, and ideas rolled into a single box! Clever use of tech, and the acting added some campy humour to the otherwise eerie vibe. Super impressed with this one.
The Medusa ReportDiorama OnlineEscape roomTabletopThis beautifully made tabletop game was so intricate and challenging — it really made us feel like secret agents trying to decipher a classified mystery. Some super clever puzzles, though with much detail and careful reading involved, it’s the kind of slow-burn experience that requires a lot of time to digest and savour.
Witchery SpellDarkParkEscape roomTabletopVery elaborate tabletop game with some high quality props and clever use of tech. We enjoyed how the story unfolded and the spells we had to perform.
Madok's Lost TreasureSociety Of CuriositiesEscape roomTabletopFun, simple treasure hunt game infused with realism through real websites and a text chat. While the production value is not as high as some other premium tabletop games, it makes up for it through clever and varied puzzles and ideas.
Mystery at the Stargazer's ManorThinkFunEscape roomTabletopIt was fine, much like the other Thinkfun escape games, but way too easy. Our team of 3 (including 2 kids) finished it in 38 minutes out of the 120-minute time limit, and a big chunk of that was spent reading the story cards. A decent game overall, but wish we could've gotten more bang for our buck.
Secret of Dr. Gravely's RetreatThinkFunEscape roomTabletopSimilar to the EXIT games in terms of the solution wheel, but the puzzles are much more straightforward and easy to solve. So it really depends what you prefer. We had fun.
Murder in the MafiaThinkFunEscape roomTabletopThis was okay, a bit disappointing overall considering we were very excited by the concept of a 3D tabletop game where you can fold the cardboard into an "escape room". But despite a decent story, the puzzles were just okay and often a bit finicky. We surprisingly enjoyed Thinkfun's Dr. Gravely more, even though that was a simpler game.
Box Two By Neil Patrick HarrisTheory11 OnlineEscape roomTabletopA solid game that would've been better received but for Box One being super awesome and AI taking off over the last couple of years. Still fun, with a few nice surprises and cool ideas, though the chat mechanism was somewhat restrictive and tedious. A step down from Box One, unfortunately, though I nonetheless appreciate the effort.
