MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula
Escape room
IRL
As good of a production as you can hope for. Puzzles were tough but not confusing or illogical. Also quite a bit of puzzles to do so the hour you’re in there will feel like 2 just from how much running around and solving you’re doing. Definitely lives up to the hype and sets the standard for what a quality escape room should look and feel like.

Confusion Escapes

Fun, spooky and kooky room. The scares here are more spontaneous and threatening than other rooms. The only thing I would say is this is actually the one time I wish the room had more of a prominent intro before entering the rooms. For example Weeping Witch at Crossroads has a video before entering the room explaining what the witch is and how it became to be. Granted when you enter the room, you do have an intro but you’re so mesmerized by the technical show that you kind of tune out what the narrator is actually telling you. And I only say this because the room, and this actually goes for all the rooms at this location, are really good and can tell are made with a lot of passion. So it would’ve just been the cherry on top to really put a stamp on the rooms. Again it doesn’t detract from the rooms at all, it would just give it that extra oomph to make it even more memorable.

Beautiful room that you can tell was made with love and care from the owners. An underwater otherworldly adventure mixed with Greek and astrological themes, this room was wonderfully crafted with so much to take in and be wowed by. Very immersive, with the puzzles being mostly tech to really make you feel like you’re on a journey. By the end of it you pretty much forget you’re in LA. If you ever want to spend an hour in another world, this is the room to do it at. On top of that the owners were extremely passionate and sincere which made the escape room experience a fond one.

Super cozy decor and fun puzzles. Nothing complex but still satisfying to do. The fragrance of the room is also a huge plus.

Super cool set, did a great job of setting an eerie mood. Just wish there were more puzzles to do.

Cool room, but what soured it for us was how strict they were with the time. Granted we got there 5min late, but every single minute after our reserved time counted and that included the GM giving us the intro. Before we started the room he stated we’d have 53min left. We go into the room and the GM does the whole intro thing, “does anybody need to put things in the locker” and all that then does the explanation of what we’re doing in the room. Then right after that he goes, ok your time starts now, you have 48min left. So the time he was talking also counted towards our time. And on top of that they had a tv screen in the room that didn’t show anything. I’m assuming it’s suppose to show the time but it didn’t, so we were pretty much left guessing how much time we had left so it was hard to pace how fast we needed clues if we got stuck. So I guess get there early but from what some other people have said, even then, they could still start you later and cut your game short. In all, I would be okay with it all if the GM had a little more personality and acted like he actually liked his job.

Actually liked the old timey L.A noir set. Moderately difficult puzzles and a fun ending

Another satisfying room made by the people at Exodus. Definitely a different feel from Clark’s Crazy Christmas, but a nice change up and theme. The puzzles were difficult without being confusing and an actual engaging story that is nicely complimented with the puzzles which I feel is rare nowadays.

Super cool design and fun, cute little puzzles. A must-do room
Irvine School of Wizardry and the Goblin's Secrets
Hidden Donkey

Hidden Donkey knocks it out of the park again with this one. Little bit more compact room than the Dragon Wand, but the puzzles were enjoyable nonetheless. One of the rooms has a very neat “special effect” that I enjoyed a lot. Hope they keep the rooms coming cause it’s definitely one of the consistently top tier productions in the area.
