Insidious: The FurtherHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseThis one was pretty good. Some stuff I'll admit was not particularly distinctive of the movies, though I still think they did a decent job of creating an unsettling atmosphere. The costuming and make up was also very impressive.
Terror Tram: Enter the BlumhouseHalloween Horror NightsHauntHayrideThe tram ride itself was rough. The announcer was way too loud, to the point of the audio cracking. We were pretty cramped in, too. The video screens were playing trailers/ads about the Blumhouse movies they were featuring as part of the attraction, which were also very loud. It felt a bit too advertise-y/gimmicky for me, especially for movies that have already been released. It was my first time doing the tram as part of the Halloween Horror Nights experience, so I wasn't expecting us to be walking around the areas you normally aren't allowed to be close to. Overall I felt pretty underwhelmed by the walk through.
A Quiet PlaceHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseThis was incredible! The animatronics were extremely impressive, and it really felt like you were walking through the world from the movies. We legit stopped to admire the monsters a bit more up close from an engineering and artistic standpoint :)
Cannibal CabinScream TownHauntHaunted houseSuper fun! The scare actors really went above and beyond with this one. The ambiance is very creepy, with a lot of room for your mind to play tricks on you as you move through the space.
Oak Blood ForestScream TownHauntHaunted trailOakblood is so fun! The atmosphere and design of the trail was a wild experience. It's the longest attraction at Scream Town, and you do have an option to *just* do this one instead of opting to go all in for everything. The forest trail sets a creepy atmosphere, with lots of places for scare actors to pop out or follow you around for a bit.
Nightmares & Phobia'sScream TownHauntMazeBy far one of the most impressive haunts at Scream Town! The attention to detail and intentional quality that went into this attraction is absolutely topnotch. You won't regret going through it. I sincerely hope it's still there next Halloween season.
Ghostbusters: Frozen EmpireHalloween Horror NightsHauntHaunted houseThe production of this experience was amazing! The exterior of the building looking like Ray's Occult Books was simply stellar. They even had a display of flyers in the doorway like an actual bookstore. Everything from the props, costuming, set design, and the flow of the maze made the experience an absolute blast. I'm very happy I got to experience it.
Haunted HouseMinnesota State FairHauntHaunted houseThis is a MN State Fair staple! It's pretty basic as far as haunts go, but it's still a lot of fun. I also just love that it's open in August. It's definitely worth checking it out, and it's always been cheap ($5 a person).
Psycho-delic CircusScream TownHauntHaunted houseThis attraction was pretty fun. The set design was immersive and engaging, and the scare actors did a great job tying the experience together. It's more on the sillier side of horror, somewhere between Killer Clowns and Rob Zombie movies.
Zombie Apocalypse CDCScream TownHauntHaunted houseThis one was very, very fun! The set was very immersive, the scare actors were stellar, and a lot of quality and care went into its production.
