Flynn's ArcadeBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe met the main designer of this room in person after having just completed another room in DTLA, and while this was already on our list, he sold us on doing it that night. If anything, he undersold just how cool it is. If you're a fan of the theme's underlying source material or just looking for a hit of nostalgia, this is a really cool immersive room with some creative puzzles and activities. You can see the labor of love that went into it. Highly recommend and would do it again with a different group because there was plenty to do that I didn't get to see it all.
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLThis one was on my wishlist for a long time as I'd heard great things for years. Luckily got a good time slot to do it on my birthday! The theme was super fun and well done, with plenty of puns and tongue in cheek jokes. There were some very unique and unexpected elements, some fun surprises, and just overall very well done and deserving of all the awards and high ratings. Our game master Tyler was excellent and he threw in a sweet message in the credits. Can't wait to come back and experience Hatch's other offerings.
Far-FetchedOpen Door Escape Games - RedlandsEscape roomIRLWent looking for a room that was good for two people that wouldn't charge at a minimum of more players. Found this one with great reviews and a super cute theme. Once we got in, we loved the design. The set is lovingly hand painted and feels really immersive. Any pet lover will enjoy the theme. This game is geared to accommodate younger players and would be perfect to do it with kids. The puzzles are all tech based and very tactile. Though some were on the simpler side, others required some thought, and I could imagine bringing a kid and guiding them towards the solution so that they can feel like they did it themselves. All in all, a super cute and very well-designed room, and we cant wait to come back and try their other games.
