The StorykeeperLocurioEscape roomIRLWhimsical, gorgeously designed rooms and immersive storyline. One of the most unique and seamlessly integrated clue systems I’ve experienced.
Lab RatHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLI can’t stop thinking about this room since I did it. SO MUCH FUN. I wish I could eternal sunshine of the spotless mind myself just so I could play this room again. The set design, creativity and immersion were exceptional. Literally was running around like a kid in a candy store. We played with 3 adults and finished with just over 10 minutes to spare. Our wonderful game master was very attentive and kept us on direction and on track without giving any overt clues away. Can’t wait to go back and play the Ladder when it opens.
The Bridge BetweenQuest TavernEscape roomIRLAbsolutely adored The Bridge Between. One of my top five. This room is a puzzler-lover’s epic dream. SO MANY PUZZLES. At the start, the sheer number of tasks seemed overwhelming and intimidating for our group of two. It required a diligent mix of independent puzzle solving and teamwork as many of the puzzles were layered and overlapping. The emergence from this room was beautiful and magical, a true fairy tale ending. A must-do for enthusiasts.
Atlantis: The Forgotten CityHypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLAbsolutely STUNNING room. Took a solid minute after walking in to just admire it in all its majesty. Family-run business where you can see all the thoughtfulness, labor and pride that went into creating high-quality rooms.
13th BasementExit Game OC - AnaheimEscape roomIRLCleverly thought out room and loads of fun especially for those who do a lot of escape rooms. The theme is satirical and self aware, taking the piss at common escape room tropes. Nice diversity in the puzzle mix and every puzzle was sensical and satisfying. Our GM Jeremiah was very attentive and explained everything thoroughly in the intro and debrief. Seems like a “must-do” rooms for enthusiasts.
The Secret At Whitmore EstateBreaking Point Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLBeautifully done room with a fun mix of puzzles and tech. The kind of room that looks like it was designed by an enthusiast. Storyline was well incorporated in the puzzles. Enjoyable and challenging for two players.
Whatever Happened To The Garretts?Maze Rooms - West LAEscape roomIRLI was so excited to play this room because of the 80’s theme. It did not disappoint. Exciting game progression that shifted from 80’s nostalgia to something completely unexpected. We found it challenging for two players, only narrowly escaping. Loads of fun.
ExcaliburMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLLovely set design, on theme from floor to ceiling. From the moment we walked in the sound and feel of creaking floorboards and flickering candlelight set the scene. Fairly straightforward puzzles and not loads of tasks to complete but had a couple puzzles with cleverly subtle use of the environment that we hadn’t encountered before. This room seems suitable for all group sizes and experience levels.
The CourtyardTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLImpressive set design and creative use of the actor. Spooky and immersive like all the Basement rooms. We played this with two people and lost with a couple puzzles incomplete. The tighter 45-minute clock presents a challenge. Dress for the possibility of getting a little dirty.
Escobar: Part 1 (The Betrayal)The Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLAn outstanding room and our favorite at Escape Revolution. There were a few quite clever and unique tasks that really added to the immersion factor. Really fun room with lots of running around.
