The Man From BeyondStrange Bird ImmersiveEscape roomIRLWow. I leave escape room reviews every time. This one has me lost for words. Memorable barely explains the experience, but like the reviews all say, this room is worth a trip from another country, It’s #1 for a reason. Like your best bottle of champagne pop the cork and do this one on a very special occasion with your favorite people.
The CryptEscape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLOne of the best I’ve been to in Austin there’s so much to do in this one and the theatrics and design were on point. Very well done and worth a detour for
20,000 Leagues Under the SeaNovel EscapeEscape roomIRLWe do a lot of escape rooms spanning from low budget to high budget while this isn’t a high budget set like some of the national chains, the puzzles more than made up for it. They were clever and made in such a way that everything you needed was always in within reach if you pay attention. There also weren’t a lot of wasted props, everything you see pretty much gets used which makes it feel nice to have it all come together. Puzzles were linear enough to flow well, but not too linear that it’s boring. The theme also was on point. Other low budget sets are that way because they are just not designed well and the company never takes off, this company however is just new, and definitely going places so I look forward to seeing what they do with their next few rooms coming out soon
Outlaw's HideoutEscape Again RoomsEscape roomIRLHonestly never have a bad experience at Escape Again. The Wizard is AMAZING. This one was our second one to try. It had a beautifully designed set, clever puzzles, and wasn’t too hard just required you to really look around the room. Puzzles in great shape, maintenance is good at this company. A lot of set-based puzzles too, which are a usual style with this company, where you interact with the set itself, rather than some that are sheet of paper with code, open box with code, repeat. It’s neat, it’s unique, makes it a great experience altogether
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - The GalleriaEscape roomIRLThe latest addition from Escape Game sets the bar time and time again for how sets should be designed. They are clean, modern, nothing ever broken, and the theatrical value and production quality and integration with technology such as touch screens and special effects is worth a visit from another state for an enthusiast. Without giving this one away some of the puzzles were so clever I still think about them. They really are best in class at least in Houston.
Smugglers DenEscape My RoomEscape roomIRLStabbed by a random screw on the floor while crawling around in the dark. Customer service afterward was pretty bad. Pitch dark room meant to require you to feel around in the dark to solve puzzles, but my hand was punctured by a screw randomly lying on the floor. It wasn’t too bad but skin was slightly punctured. This wasn’t a big deal but seriously being in the pitch black requires a bit of trust, there should never be sharp objects at all on the floor and due diligence should be taken between games to ensure safety. After the incident I alerted the GM just to let them know. They forced us to exit mid-game to inspect it and take pictures. The whole ordeal took probably 5-10 minutes of distraction, talking, her walking up and then us getting back into the game. She offered us TWO minutes additional time to finish. And refused to just let us finish (we needed about five minutes) and was rude and rushed us out. You would think that as an I’m sorry they’d let us finish the last puzzle. The sad part is that it would have gotten a heart instead of thumbs down. Just goes to show that customer service is half the experience… theirs ruined it for us.

Dead Man's CoveEscape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLEscape House Austin continues to deliver. A great fun pirate themed room with some unique puzzles I’ve never seen before. A good mix of tech and mechanical triggers. There are a lot of obvious things that are easy to overlook which make it fun. No spoilers, but make sure to look EVERYWHERE on this ship for clues. Sweeping the room again a few times we always found something we overlooked.
William's HikeEscape Again RoomsEscape roomIRLThis company pumps out bangers left and right. All “hearts” from me. Puzzles have sturdy construction and work well flow wise. They were also quite straightforward there were no leaps of faith to solve any of them so the design was good. Difficulty level beginner to medium, their easiest one for sure but still challenging enough. Theme is this company’s strongest suit, they immerse you into whatever it is and you feel like you’re there. Worth a visit and worth doing all three of theirs (as of this date they have three) some of the best in Houston
The MobfatherGreat Escape Of Central Texas - KilleenEscape roomIRLVery well made, you can see the passion of the creator in every detail of the room. Great story, integration of props and scenery, and original theme. One of the best in all of Texas. Worth a detour or trip to do it.
