Storyteller's SecretBoxarooEscape roomIRLThere was a charm to this room that is hard to beat. The way everything is presented, the puzzles, the story behind this room. Everything was fantastic!
Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLThis room is truly a puzzle lovers paradise! The room itself is fairly basic; it looks like someone studio apartment. But the longer you stay, you eventually discover the density and magic of it.
Experiment C73Conundrum Escape Rooms - ArvadaEscape roomIRLI freaking loved this room. It was quite challenging with only 2 people but we got very close to the end. The puzzled are inventive and require a lot of communication. Go with a group that you are familiar working with.
Room 303 - Chapter 1303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLRoom 303 is a masterwork of storytelling for the Denver area. Every part of the room from the puzzles to the timer to the hint system make sense. The puzzles were all really cool and made sense. Only one bit of finicky tech kinda brought it down from being in my top 3 but its still so worth it
The Book Of SoulsMystic Escape Room - LittletonEscape roomIRLMystic Escape Games truly surprises me. Their location is small but their rooms make amazing use of the space they have. Book of Souls especially is an absolute wonder and had some really fun puzzles.
The CourtyardTHE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience - SylmarEscape roomIRLFrom a set design and puzzle solution stand point, this was my favorite of the rooms as The Basement. The live actor was absolutely amazing and an integral part of the room. Several of the puzzles are pretty lengthy to solve but can only be done by a few people at a time. Smaller groups are definitely preferred if you want the complete experience. But seriously, how do you make something feel like a true outdoor experience while inside a building?!
The Alchemist's ChamberSomewhere SecretEscape roomIRLThis is very much a Gen 1 Escape Room. It's fine but really lacks any kind of memorable moment compared to the other rooms in the area. Also the clue system revolves around the GM slipping paper through the door and they seemed pre-made because they "clue" for one of the final puzzles was just as confusing as what was actually in the room.
Area 51The Wreck Room Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis is the perfect kind of challenging room: difficult but fair. Every puzzle that stumped us for a while, once we got it, made us go "Oooohhh". I'd highly recommend going with 4ish people that have experience with escape rooms. This is not a good room for first timers as there is a lot going on.
The Sacred Lotus21 Keys Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThere is something charming about this room. A lot of individual great puzzles that all flowed together while also being a non linear room that was great for a medium sized group
The PerfumerQuest Room - HollywoodEscape roomIRLThis is really hard to rate. The atmosphere of this room is truly next level. Just wow! The problem is several of the puzzles either didn't work great, were unintuitive of their solution or had VERY particular timings. It was one of the more frustrating experiences I've been to but also one of the most unique.
