Servants of SleightThe Exit Games FLEscape roomIRLAfter having this on the wishlist for a while, I am so glad I got this chance to play this game and it instantly jumped to the top of my favorites list. So many unique elements to this game, and the set design was as good as it gets. On top of all that, I love that The Exit Games took the time to walk us back through the room and answer questions and explain the mechanics of the room. Definitely a must play game and deserving of its ranking!
Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis was definitely one of the more memorable games we have done. The puzzles and clues themselves were fairly basic, but they were perfectly tied into the plot and an environment to make them engaging. The fact that there was a live actor made us a little nervous, but the game truly wouldn’t be the same without them. Michael was an amazing GM/Actor as he was when we did Bros For Life! Highly recommend for fans of a “thriller” genre of room.
Operation Arctic Storm: The Final MeltdownThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLDefinitely a must play in the Orlando area! While the puzzles and gameplay are fun and provide a decent challenge, the room itself including the theme, set design, and story is what makes this game one of the best in the area. Another great TEV adventure!
Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' PlotzDoldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLThis is undoubtedly one of the best escape rooms I have ever played. There isn’t a room that has the story more integrated into the game than Crazy Train. It was comical, intriguing, and really moved the game forward. The puzzles were very unique and fun. The room is pretty linear, but it is purposefully and wonderfully done to follow along with the story. There was a lot to do for two of us and needed an extra 5 minutes added (and one nudge) to escape. 11/10 recommend this room!
Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLAnother gem from Doldricks! I love split start rooms and this was probably the best implementation of it I have played. Seemed to our group to be on the easier side which would keep this from being a 10/10 on my books, but definitely a 9+/10 room considering the set design, fun puzzles, and overall good time playing this game!
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - OrlandoEscape roomIRLDespite the lower difficulty ratinf, this is a room I have been wanting to do for a while and it was exactly what I was hoping. Not the most challenging of rooms, but a room you will enjoy and find yourself smiling in. The set design really completes this room!
NinjaEscape Artists OrlandoEscape roomIRLOne of my new favorite games in Orlando! The theming throughout the room was great, there was plenty of stuff for our group of 4 to be actively working on almost at all times, and there were a couple cool mechanics I had not seen before. I would not say any of the puzzles were overly challenging, but each definitely required thinking about how to best use the resources and clues provided, and could be considered difficult for beginners. After completing this room, their 90-minute room, Dream, has definitely moved to the top of my wishlist.
