Dragon Alley
Keystone Escape Games
Escape room

Excellent room! One of my favorites of all time. There is an animatronic skeleton that kept our younger kids entertained on some of the tougher puzzles. It's well themed and the story flows well. Highly recommend if you're in Reno!!
The Edison Escape Room
Palace Games
Escape room

This room had some unique puzzles. It relies heavily on technology and we did experience an oops moment with that but they quickly came and restarted it. Our youngest kid got bored and kind of sat down for a while. The ending, what we later were told are "finale puzzles" were redundant and felt like they were just showing off what they could do. Apparently some of those get skipped for groups that took longer. Since we breezed through, we got them all. It made the climactic moment from before less because all we left with was this techy memory. I would have left happily and skipped all that. They could have made that it's own experience.

Operation Gryaznayavoda
In Search Of An Exit
Escape room
IRL
Probably the best overall locations I've ever been to. We did both rooms back to back, see other review for more details. Operation Gryaznayavoda came second. It flowed very well from the first room and the transition in between. The GM did a great job of staying in "character" in between as well. There were only 2 of us and the website said you needed 4. It was challenging for us to finish but we pulled it off. Some of these puzzles were so unique it was hard to describe to our family afterwards without them physically seeing with their own eyes and doing it. Very fun, very engaging!
Dragon Realm
Mile High Escape Ops

Very fun!! One of the best rooms we've ever done. Some amazing and unique puzzles! Extremely friendly game master (owner) that really cared about creating an experience.
Freakshow
Deadline Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
One of my favorite places in Reno. This room was nicely done with some creative thought put behind it. It was hard for our younger kids to stay focused because the puzzles are pretty linear or more challenging. They still enjoyed the atmosphere of the room and the theme is great! It did seem like we got out of the room quicker than we thought we should, the ending went fast.
Blood of the Original
Keystone Escape Games
Escape room

Probably one of the best rooms in Reno. We've done it twice. Once when it opened and then again recently with our children (we took a backseat and watched). Both times were excellent! Very little changed over the years but we forgot a lot of the puzzles. There are some very unique puzzles, where you need to really think about what's happening to solve them. The story ties into the puzzles and flows very well. It's good for large or small groups and the game masters here are by far some of the best I've seen. Keystone Escape Rooms is located in a kind of sketchy part of Reno, however you never feel unsafe. Parking is easy and there is plenty of it. If you're visiting and staying downtown, it's a 5 minute drive which makes it convenient compares to the other good escape room places. The inside is themed very well for the rooms they have.
Frost Base Z
Rabbit Hole Recreation Services
Escape room
IRL
We had the pleasure to experience all 3 of the rooms at Rabbit back to back. Definitely one of the nicer operations I've been to. The staff was very friendly, the themed lobby had engaging activities to do between rooms, and all the rooms were great. Frost Base was challenging to get through. It's fairly linear and was difficult to keep on track so we skipped past things unknowingly and it lost us time.
The Attraction
Palace Games

Not like any other room we've done. Very immersive and creative. It is long and we had some younger kids get bored. The puzzles were fun, very video game like.
Room 303 - Chapter 1
303 Escape - Denver Escape Room

The location was interesting, it's a mixed use office space. Once you enter the haunted hotel theme immerses you right away! Game master was nice. We've done rooms with jump scares and that was in the back of our mind the whole time slowing us down. Some very fun and unique puzzles. The gore level isn't too much but if the description gives you goose bumps you may want to prepare yourself. They make use of the hotel room well!
Lombino's Casino
In Search Of An Exit
Escape room
IRL
Probably the best overall locations I've ever been to. We did both rooms back to back and the owner, Patrick, was our game master. Finding the place is the first task, the signage makes it look like something else and when entering you need to solve a riddle to open up into the lobby. That was amazing! You're immediately immersed into the experience as they make the entire building part of what I'd describe as more of a set than individual rooms. I am not sure if they handle things the same if you only do one room, but ours had a little intro solve in between that tied back to the original "riddle" room we first entered. Both rooms flowed into one another, making the experience overall a great one! Lombino's Casino came first and this room had so many unique puzzles with fun engaging elements from the 80's. I suppose a younger kid might struggle with some of those references but for us it was fine. The clue system was unique, the game flowed well with no hang ups.
