Ghost PatrolTrivium GamesEscape roomIRLProbably the best escape room I've ever done. Very creative theme and amazing unique puzzles. Our entire party was involved and engaged. GM was friendly as well.
Phantom Files: The Investigation Of Lockturne ManorThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLUpbeat ghost hunting story with a great series of rooms and fun puzzles. Included a live actor and awesome theme song! The puzzles were challenging and a good mix of high tech with classic locks. GM was fantastic!
Dragon AlleyKeystone Escape GamesEscape roomIRLExcellent room! One of my favorites of all time. There is an animatronic skeleton that kept our younger kids entertained on some of the tougher puzzles. It's well themed and the story flows well. Highly recommend if you're in Reno!!
Operation GryaznayavodaIn Search Of An ExitEscape roomIRLProbably the best overall locations I've ever been to. We did both rooms back to back, see other review for more details. Operation Gryaznayavoda came second. It flowed very well from the first room and the transition in between. The GM did a great job of staying in "character" in between as well. There were only 2 of us and the website said you needed 4. It was challenging for us to finish but we pulled it off. Some of these puzzles were so unique it was hard to describe to our family afterwards without them physically seeing with their own eyes and doing it. Very fun, very engaging!
Nightfall: Creature At Camp DeadwoodThe Escape Ventures - Port CharlotteEscape roomIRLSuper fun immersive experience! Smells, sounds, and all the creepy camp fire classics you're expecting. Puzzles were challenging but not scratch your head hard. They include a live actor for the storyline which was awesome! Our GM made us feel very welcome and they stored our luggage for us since we were on our way to the airport.
The Edison Escape RoomPalace GamesEscape roomIRLThis room had some unique puzzles. It relies heavily on technology and we did experience an oops moment with that but they quickly came and restarted it. Our youngest kid got bored and kind of sat down for a while. The ending, what we later were told are "finale puzzles" were redundant and felt like they were just showing off what they could do. Apparently some of those get skipped for groups that took longer. Since we breezed through, we got them all. It made the climactic moment from before less because all we left with was this techy memory. I would have left happily and skipped all that. They could have made that it's own experience.
Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLVery fun!! One of the best rooms we've ever done. Some amazing and unique puzzles! Extremely friendly game master (owner) that really cared about creating an experience.
Lucky Dice DinerExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLReally fun room with a great flow that follows the storyline perfectly. Simple theme that gets you into it quick and the nostalgia of an old time diner kicks in. Puzzles were relatively straightforward with only a couple curve balls but still engaging.
Blood of the OriginalKeystone Escape GamesEscape roomIRLProbably one of the best rooms in Reno. We've done it twice. Once when it opened and then again recently with our children (we took a backseat and watched). Both times were excellent! Very little changed over the years but we forgot a lot of the puzzles. There are some very unique puzzles, where you need to really think about what's happening to solve them. The story ties into the puzzles and flows very well. It's good for large or small groups and the game masters here are by far some of the best I've seen. Keystone Escape Rooms is located in a kind of sketchy part of Reno, however you never feel unsafe. Parking is easy and there is plenty of it. If you're visiting and staying downtown, it's a 5 minute drive which makes it convenient compares to the other good escape room places. The inside is themed very well for the rooms they have.
FreakshowDeadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite places in Reno. This room was nicely done with some creative thought put behind it. It was hard for our younger kids to stay focused because the puzzles are pretty linear or more challenging. They still enjoyed the atmosphere of the room and the theme is great! It did seem like we got out of the room quicker than we thought we should, the ending went fast.
