Curse of the Hidden TempleExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was an excellent room, and I was very impressed with the immersion. The experience with our GM fully immersed in the story and getting us into the game right away. There are also headlights, vests, and flashlights that kind of help you get into the vibe. The puzzles are very well constructed and unique, even some I hadn’t seen before. I had so much fun, and I will always come back to expedition as many times as I can.
2084Olde City Escape GamesEscape roomIRLSo much fun! We really enjoyed the gameplay and the storyline was really interesting. Definitely had to think outside the box for a lot of puzzles.
Shipwreck IslandEscapopolisEscape roomIRLthis was a good room! it was a pretty linear room, but it felt like a lot of things were found out of order and not in a way that quite made sense. some things definitely need a paint refresh. overall though, we had a lot of fun, and the room mostly made sense other than some out of place finds.
The TreehouseEscapopolisEscape roomIRLthis was a good room! it wasn’t particularly unique and a little basic, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun. we had a good time, but the parts that were difficult were mostly us overthinking puzzles
Sacred StonesSolve It SherlockEscape roomIRLThis was a really boring room. We got out in less than 30 minutes and solved the hardest puzzle in like 90 seconds. We don’t plan on playing any of the other rooms as this was too easy and not engaging
Baker Street MysteryExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLI think this is Expedition’s worst game. It’s mostly riddle solving which makes the game really hard. Our game guide was lovely though and the rest of the rooms here are wonderful
Da Vinci's OfficeExpedition EscapeEscape roomIRLThe game was great, there were a couple of puzzles that really through us for a loop and not in the best way. We also solved a few things the “wrong way” and our game guide came in and relocked the puzzles which was kind of frustrating. I understand game flow, but it took the wind out of our sails when our teammate who hadn’t solved much finally solved a puzzle but she was told she didn’t solve it the right way. Otherwise, it was a phenomenal experience and our game guide was one of the funniest and loveliest humans I have ever met.

Space For RentAmazing Escape Room - FreeholdEscape roomIRLThis is one of the worst escape rooms I’ve done. The staff was not welcoming and seemed like they did not want us to be there. We got 3 sentences of intro and then the time started. We barely even knew what we were looking for. The game did not flow well and it was very unclear where codes and solutions belonged to. We didn’t even realize we escaped because we thought there was no way we were actually done. The staff rushed us out of the room, didn’t give us a chance to ask questions, made us take our photo very quickly and then left us alone in the lobby. They didn’t even ask if we enjoyed the room. I’ve played with this company before and that experience was fine, but after this I don’t plan on coming back.
