Cinema 7Will To Escape - OrlandoEscape roomIRLLoved this game! The set was very well done. I loved how unique the puzzles were and I thought the tech was very well incorporated. It was more of a spooky vibe with some creepy lighting and a few boxes that popped open loudly. No live actors or scares that jump out at you, so if you’re a bit of a scared cat like me you’re in luck. Trevor and Chris did a great job designing this game! The staff was also very friendly and gave nudges when we needed them but weren’t pushy about giving them (which I appreciate) Now with the positives said and done, I only had two negatives. My first one being the location itself. It’s located inside a mall that requires paid parking which (as far as I could see) was not mentioned on the website or in the confirmation email. So if you’ve never been there before, be prepared for that and potential crowds if you are going on a weekend. My other negative was the storyline. (Minor spoiler) The beginning of the game is set up like the movie theater is haunted but as you play through you find out it is something different and I wasn’t a fan of what the “real story” ended up being, but that was a matter of personal preference. Overall it was a very good game with great puzzle flow and an immersive set and I would definitely go back for another game.

This is my second game at Ventures and they haven’t disappointed yet. The owner ended up being our game master and we ended up having a nice conversation afterwards. You can tell the people working there care about what they do. There was a little too many combination locks for my liking but they were spread out enough and the way to solve each one was so unique that they get a pass in my book. I really enjoyed the theme of this game and the ending really surprised me. Will definitely be completing the rest of the games here
The Video StoreDare 2 EscapeEscape roomIRLMy boyfriend and I had a great time playing Video Store. The room had so many fun references to so many different genres of movies and the set design was very well thought out. Jordan was a great game master. She let us start to figure things out but if we got off track, she gently nudged us back in the right direction. My only complaint about the room was that there were too many combination locks for my liking. I would’ve loved to see either less locks or more variety of locks. Other than that, I loved the room and the old school Blockbuster theme. We will definitely be going back!
Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient ExpressEscapology - KissimmeeEscape roomIRLOverall, I would give this a 2/5. The theme was good and some puzzles were great, but the terrible customer service and improper resetting was what killed it for me. The game was ok. About half of the puzzles were really cool and unique and the other half were a mess. I think some of them weren’t reset properly because we skipped almost a whole section. It was definitely challenging but for more reasons than one. The game masters and hosts seemed like they were trying to rush us through the whole time. Our host was not friendly and just put us in the room with very minimal interaction. Our game master gave clues that we didn’t need or ask for and weren’t very helpful. It felt like she thought we were stupid at times.
