Room 303 - Chapter 1303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWe had a great time here! The room is challenging but still logical and directive. If you don’t like gore, this might be one to skip, but for us, it added to the scary factor. Also, we were slower in the beginning and then picked up the pace after a couple of clues. There was one puzzle we would not have solved for sure without a clue.
Ruins of the Mystic TempleRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLWe had a blast here! Even the check-in/waiting area is themed well and includes some fun activities. It’s obvious a lot of thought and effort went into designing the room and the puzzles. Everything is solvable without luck or randomness, so it’s possible to escape without any clues. We love that!
The Trailer Park TwisterClueology RoomsEscape roomIRLVery original and creative theme! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed all the clever design that went into the room. Nice blend of combo locks and more high-tech puzzles. This room would be great for a family outing.
Dark Heart of the Hotel - Chapter 2303 Escape - Denver Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOne of our all-time favorites! Controversial opinion—this is even better than Chapter 1. Puzzles were challenging and unique and worked into the story well. Our favorite part: You can feasibly do this room without any hints. So many rooms require a certain amount of luck, and if you don’t get lucky, you’ll need hints. This one gives you plenty of guidance without giving anything away. When you escape, you feel accomplished.
Escape From Alcatraz II - The Morris StoryClueology RoomsEscape roomIRLWe didn’t really enjoy this one, unfortunately. Maybe we were having an off day, but we had a hard time figuring out what to do next. There were also a few puzzles that seem unsolvable without a clue. But the room had lots of fun set pieces and gadgets, so it’s quite immersive.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLPros: Fun and lighthearted, good for families (including kids), linear puzzle-solving with a logical flow, good mix of easier and more challenging puzzles; Cons: Not easy to find (give yourself extra time), overly worn game pieces and props
The Enchanted InnAtlas Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLDefinitely an easier game but still fun! We did it with just 2 people; it might be too easy for 4 or more. The fairy theme was a nice change from what we see normally.
Temple of DoomTime Emporium - Estes ParkEscape roomIRLOur group had mixed emotions on this one. Most of us didn’t like it much but one person did. It’s a VERY linear room so if you have more than 2-3 people, someone will just be standing around during most puzzles.
Secrets of the PharaohsTime Emporium - LovelandEscape roomIRLWe tried this with only two people, which didn’t work well. We got stuck on one puzzle, so there was too much to do afterward. I suggest doing this with at least four people. But it’s got some fun and interesting puzzles, and it’s impressively designed.
TitanicTime Escape LovelandEscape roomIRLThe staff here is awesome! Super energetic and encouraging. This is a family business, and you can tell they put a lot of love into it. While the game is mostly mechanical rather than high-tech, the design of the bigger puzzles is very creative and interesting. It’s also quite unique that the location is an early 20th-century house—fitting for a Titanic theme. With all that said, we really struggled in this room. Several of the puzzles seemed to be based on luck rather than intuition or problem-solving. We definitely needed clues, which isn’t the norm for us. There were also lots of props, including ones inside boxes we opened, that were never used for anything. Maybe we needed more than 2 people?
